yes or no.

bear in mind there may be no season 2

If there is a season two, the definately a cliffhanger.

If no season two, no cliffhanger.

And since we don't know, I'd say it would be better to be safe than sorry. Tie up most the loose ends, and only leave a few things open for the purposed of a possible season two.

Pretty much agree with your last statement. I think the storylines should mostly be wrapped up, with only a few dangling to set up a possible second season.

The cool thing about Blade is that the movies established that he's something of a globetrotter so it could be 'easy' to do season two in another locale, with another set of villians and new problems.

Marcus is a great villian, but I don't know if I want to see him for three or more seasons. I'm hoping that Blade stakes him at the end of Season 2 if they get a second season.

Well Goyer said the dvd version of the series would be 'Rated-R'. So by the time it's released there will be word of whether season 2 is a go or not. So the endings can be varied on what we see on tv and what we get on the dvd.

I would like to see a cliffhanger, where we think that a main character has died. Maybe Marcus or Chase. Then we realise later that the vaccine WAS perfected after all and neither silver nor sunlight can harm them anymore.

Or.

Krista turns on Blade. I think this would probably be the best cliffhanger. After all she is a vamp. Blade hate vamps, and she having feeling for Marcus.....it would be cool that after Blade gets the upperhand of Marcus, and is about to kill him, Krista saves Marcus because of their connection.

I've often thought about Krista turning on Blade. I've said in previous posts that she would make a good villian because she has a more personal tie to him.

One of the things the TV show has failed to do is make it personal between Blade and Marcus. Steppin' Razor made such an impression, not only because the role was well acted by Bokeem Woodbine IMO but because of his past relationship with Blade.

There hasn't been enough interaction between Blade and Marcus, and its helped leave Blade on the periphery of season one. Krista has been right in the center of things, and if she turns it would be pretty awesome.

She seems to know Blade, Shen, and their operation a whole lot better than Marcus and her defection could hurt them a whole lot more than Marcus has been able to do this season.

My imagined end to season one... Krista turns, slays Marcus. But in turn is slayed by Chase who takes over House Chthon for season two. I can't help but think of the vampire graphic novel Bite Club and how Chase reminds me of Risa DelToro. I won't spoil the book for those who haven't read it, but I definitely think Chase has leadership potential and maybe inclinations just like Risa did.

I too like the idea.

I'd debate what kind of villian she'd make however. Everytime Krista has had a skirmish with Blade, she's lost easily.

Noooo cliffhanger. Hate those enough as is. If there is a cliffhanger, then I hope the ep was already filmed. Like back to back just like the pilot so we can get it on the DVD.

Just noticed something. In the flashback ep, Blade as a kid got an Avengers comic. Guess that kinda dimishes the chance of seeing any other Marvel heroes.

Not necessarily. There have been a lot of real-life people who have been featured in comic books. Off hand, there's Ho Che Anderson's King series about MLK, Public Enemy recently dropped a comic, and back in the day wrestling's Ultimate Warrior also had a comic book just to name a few.

I don't want the main storylines to be left open. They can plant the seeds for a possible season two but we should get a measure of closure on Wednesday.

With a closed episode, season 2 can start without restrictions.

Well, this debate is resolved. Bring on season 2!
