it looks like charlie's angels 3: ninja invasion, but... it has hot girls, doing martial arts, choreographed by that guy who's name i forget, so... i'll check it out at the dollar movies.

Cory Yeun's a decent enough action director. Kiss of the Dragon and The Transporter were great films, despite having no story whatsoever. But who characters about story in a movie like this. Just look good kickin' ass!

Well, it doesn't have the budget for flashy, lazy effects that don't look anything but cartoonish, so that might have something to do with it.

When I watched the trailer to this movie I couldn't believe it. It looks like they've filmed it on the budget of a single tv series episode. Plus, the cast are just... woah.

Somehow, I don't think this is gonna do too well.

Or on the otherhand, it might be so comicaly bad hat it becomes a cult hit.

It looks like the Mortal Kombat movies and Street Fighter only stupider and with nice boobies.

They should just let me direct Mortal Kombat 3. I would make it be mostly about Sub Zero and it would be cool but have plenty of stupid stuff that makes people laugh too.

You really have to consider the source material. The entire game series, while geared to the mature, has basically become a campy self aware thing, as shown in the in game cinemas and what not. Apparantly while the characters are fighting each other to a pulp, they're all in on the joke. To make the movie all serious would actually be inaccurate.

Well, while I certainly wouldn't mind a Charlie's Angels 3 type of movie with DOA : the film is set for release on SEPTEMBER 8th (according to Coming Soon) aaaaand ? No other trailer, pics or news ?

Straight to DVD ?
