Why are the Girls from DOA holding swords?

Oh God no. :(
Well, at least Jamie Pressly is in it.

She's a fox. :)

Yeah, I'll agree with you there.
That creepy japanese guy who created DOA will be pissed when this fails.

I saw the trailer months ago. I hope it never sees the light of day. Looks really bad.

I think it will.
Robin Shou is in this movie, also.

okay, Jaime Pressly, Sarah Carter and Holly Valance holding katanas... that's like the opposite of looking bad. (I'll give you Devon Aoki though, she's f***in hideous)

sorry, but what the hell did you expect from a Dead or Alive movie? it's a T&A fighting game. you can't get anything else than this.

did anyone actually think this movie would be good? it's a videogame movie for one, and it's based on DoA for two... does DoA even have a story?

but, Sarah Carter is the hottest (on screen) crazy person like, ever... so i'll see it.

and i agree with JackBauer up there... Devon Aoki looks like she has elephantitus of the facial region.

or, as Pauly Shore (the weasel) would say "Ooh! Look at the chubby cheek-eeeeeeeeeez!"

DOA has a plot, but it is never in the game. There's Ninja Gaiden, which takes place in the same universe, and involves a few DOA characters actually.
And Kasumi and Ayane have a history together.

now this is what the film should have been about.

well, they have swords in ninja gaiden, and that's where the plot is, apparently, so, ifso-facto,

they have swords in DOA the movie.

there's your answer.

It is a good fighting game, because of the mechanics of the fight engine combined with hot women doing most of the fighting. It is not a good game because of the storylines associated with each character.

They should have just said F' IT and developed the DOA Beach Vollyball game into a straight up porno.

As for this film, here is hoping that it is so bad that it is actually good. I doubt it, but perhaps they intentionally made this a bad B-movie salute to the cheesy kung-fu films of yester-year (most likely not the case, but it is the only hope - that or the unintentional comedy is through the roof).

I will wtach some day on cable.
