This guy has been a part of the hulk comic for over three decades. Friend, ally, confidant....enemy. He's been all of these to the Incredible Hulk.

At some point, should he be introduced in a sequel?

Share your thoughts.

he's one of those characters that will look corny IMO, never liked him.

yes- but only as bruce's doctor

have t-bolt trying to recreate hulks and ****

have samsom get powered

good comparisopn for part 3

he's everything bruce isn't

smart and strong

bruce's sgtrong side is savage.

samson=hero
hul=villian
in the eyes of the public

should offer lots of emoptional **** for ol bruce

have them double up against some bad guy
samson gets ass kicked

hulk goes super super crazy

If they are going with the psychological aspect of Hulk's origin's, Leonard Samson is a must. Save the super strength and green hair for later movies to go into.

See that's the thing; Marvel seems to want to get AWAY from the psychological aspects of the first film, so that kind of puts the good doctor in a bind in regards to an appearance....

Maybe they could just do an adaption of #141 where Samson gets his powers then becomes a rival to Banner for Betty's affection....

Of course you'd have to throw a villain into the mix....maybe after an initial brawl, Hulk and Samson could then team up against the Leader...

Yep for Samson. He should have been in the first film, pre-gamma version, then put him in the 2 or 3 film with his green hair and whatnot, so the audiences grows with him.

If it works witihin the confines of the story, sure, Samson should be brought in at this point.

No. Well a cameo would be ok. But nothing more. Certainly not a gamma powered Samson.

You betcha! No Doc in a Hulk series would be a tragedy. Omitting him would be like leaving out JJJ from Spidey. Like others have said, he should look normal at first and gain his gamma juiced look in the sequels.

He would be good to see in the Hulk movie but if they were making a sequal.

It could work, but he doesn't need to be gamma charged this time arround. But I would rather have Rick Jones.

You stuff in everything and anything gamma-irradiated into a single film just to give the Hulk something to thrash in the span of a 5-minute fight and...you end up with the kind of movie 'The Incredible Hulk' will probably become.

Nay on Doc Samson, now and forever.

Not saying "everything and anything gamma-irradiated"....

Just Doc Samson (and maybe The Leader) in a sequel.

I don't think so
It would confuse & disorient the general populace

I believe some colorful characters need to be brought into the sequel and the Doc would do that. The first film was great but it was to dark and disturbing for some, if they want to lighten up the sequel then they need to bring in someone who is not so stoic. Think about the personality of the cast in the first film, how many smiles do you remember seeing. If I remember Doc Samson right from the comics I believe he had a helluva personality.

Hey guys I can't make a new post yet so sorry for hijacking this thread.
Just want to ask everyone to head over to this IGN link and give our big green destroying machine some support! Our votes determine the winner and I'd like to see him get past Spiderman. Right now Spidey is winning :cmad:
We need to get Hulk back in action! You can vote as many times as you'd like, just clear your cookies before going back in! I got the info from the Official Hulk Site. Oh by the way it's in the Swank Sixteen Round.
Here's the link.

I still can't believe Spidey is winning...seems more of a popularity contest.
Oh and maybe lend a little support for Juggernaut :cwink:
Remember spread the word and VOTE OFTEN!!

Samson I believe is a Must, especially if the depths of Bruce's Psyche is ever to be analysed on screen.

Samson should be there for the realisation that there is another conscience within bruce, the Joe Fixit character...

He should also power himself up and go up against him (both as jo and as savage but more as jo) rather than the creation of 'another monster' in order to get someone to battle the hulk.

It's so much more interesting....

there is more than enough info to have to make another hulk film without the creation of another monster. The hulk is the only superhero character that doesn't need a arch nemesis in order to have a few decent stories made about him.
