Doc Savage movie

They just announced on G4 that they will be making a Doc Savage movie.

I'm sure there will be one mod happy with this.

I've known about the Doc Savage movie over a year now, I thought more folks were aware of it. Remember when IGN posted the rumor that Sam Raimi was working on a pulp hero movie that supposedly teamed up multiple Street & Smith characters?

Well on December 6, 2006 - Harry Knowles of AICN sent his fingers a tapping to comment on the rumor that IGN had posted about the pulp hero team up movie. At the end of his comments he had this to say:

Like I said. I know for a fact that THE SHADOW and DOC SAVAGE are separate projects that were being developed as separate projects at least 4 months ago. I'll continue to knock on Raimi's door to get to the truth, but at this point the only one that knows for sure, is his Shadow...

It is great to hear the Doc Savage movie is officially announced now - hopefully this means we start getting a more steady stream of news regarding both the upcoming movie based on The Shadow and the Doc Savage movie

Raimi purchased the rights to "The Shadow", "Doc Savage", and "The Avenger" a while back. I'm glad to hear they're progressing.

Its directed by Michael Ulsan right? I'm excited. Love those pulp/noir heroes.

Apparently Uslan will be one of the producers....no word yet on any other people involved.

I saw the video of Uslan talking about it at ComicCon....he said something to the effect that the papers are signed, all the i's are dotted for him to start working on a Doc movie....but he didn't say a word about Raimi.

Am I the only one who hopes Bruce Willis gets this role? I can't think of anyone else that could play Doc Savage in my mind.
