I will always remember when the Doctor Who thread was me

If we're going back to companions for thread titles, we're on Vicki Pallister. If we're only going with popular companions (sorry Vicki, Steven, Katarina, Sara, and Dodo [well, not so much Katarina and Dodo]), we're on Ben Jackson & Polly Wright.

Steven Taylor....... not popular?

Does not compute! DOES NOT COMPUTE!!!

I love Steven (especially his Companion Chronicles), but when people talk about the First Doctor's companions, they act like he only ever had Susan, Barbara, and Ian.

I'm still in the Barbara, Ian and Vicki era.

Unfortunately. Even the Doctors Revisited from last year didn't do any favors in omitting the others. Even if it was only 30 minutes

You're almost at Steven, then. Wait til you experience the magic of "The Chase," wherein Peter Purves plays a random American southerner one minute, then comes back to play the new companion during the final part.

Hmmm. I just started watching the Fourth Doctor two days ago. I want to catch up on some classic Who. :bd

If They Wrote A Who

Rob Liefeld: The need to put additional bulging veins on Capaldi’s neck and face bankrupts the show’s FX budget

Mark Millar: #10 and Captain Jack finally make it official and get married in Belgium; they continue to have adventures where they accidentally blow up entire planets of innocent people week after week

Frank Cho: Every episode ends with Clara washing a car in the nude

Grant Morrison: Every episode ends with Strax washing a car in the nude

Frank Miller: The show starts featuring so many broken-down prostitutes it is mistakenly placed on the TLC fall schedule

Kevin Smith: Every future episode consists only of the Doctor and his companions smoking weed in a morgue and discussing what they liked best about old Dr. Who episodes

Alan Moore: The clever, witty quintessentially English science fiction hero is re-imagined as a gritty, shaven-headed badass in a black leather coat (oh, wait …)

Gail Simone: To make a powerful feminist statement about the role of strong women in modern society, she has Amy, Rose and Martha engage in a lesbian orgy for an entire episode. Registration in women’s studies programs skyrocket across the globe.

Lol at Liefeld! :funny:

I'm going to start a petition to have her write an episode of DW ASAP. Who's with me?

She'd rank behind Kate Orman and Jac Raynor but ahead of Helen Raynor

I don't know those people and that doesn't matter. I want that episode now!

:hubba

I am impressed that there are so many male feminists in this thread all of a sudden!

On the "The Crusade" serial right now. I'm not sure when I'll get through it though.

I used to post here before but stopped watching during the last season as the 50th was coming up and I wanted to watch it all at once. I didn;t come back since I didn't want spoilers.

one of the comments I saw

"Uh, why does the Clara figurine have MOFFAT'S FACE?"

The description read - "New for 2014! Unveiled at Toy Fair in London today, meet the new 3.75" scale figures from Character Options - including the Twelfth Doctor regeneration figure ("Kidneys!")."

Ugh, the action figure of Clara turned her into a dour librarian or a cat lady. Someone needs to be fired.

Apparently Eleven has been played by Nic Cage for all these years. Huh...

Clara looks like , Eleven looks like Nic Cage, and Twelve has been hanging out with The Rock too much. :hehe:

the cyberman beating, custard and fishstick eating, tardis blazin eyebrow raisin, take your foot off the brake and step on the gas always ready to whoop some ass doctor :woot:

They didn't even get the colour of Capaldi's kidneys right. But I guess he's happy about that. :hehe:
