does any one still watch cartoons?

Except for more adult shows like Simpsons and South Park, not regulary but every once and a while I see an episode of Ducktales. Also love TMNT(the original tv series), and Batman(the original tv series)

I mainly watch TMNT and South Park when they are on. I buy a lot of DVD releasesl too. I got Bravestar a month or two back and I love it. I hope the second volume comes out.

Of course I still watch carrtoons (i'm 30 btw). why wouldn't I? Is there a written rule that says at a certain age you must stop watching? :)

yes I watch toons. Mostly the older ones though. The new ones are kind of crap.........they all seem to be anime.

south park and family guy sometimes . robot chicken isnt a cartoon but damn sure close enough.

Mostly Adult Swim cartoons and the most cartoons from the 90's and late 80's

I hate that people still think of cartoons as "kids" shows. Ditto for people who claim animation is a "genre".

Damn right, I still love watching cartoons (soon to be 22 yrs old)!

Batman the Animated Series/New Adventures of Batman and Robin/Batman Beyond
TMNT (2003)
Animaniacs
Tiny Toons
Darkwing Duck
Ducktales
Tailspin
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Futurama
The Simpsons (sometimes)

All of those shows, and more, rock!

I think Brad Bird summed it up best on The Incredibles commentary when he said something to the tune of "Animation isnt a genre. There can be western animations, horror animations, action. Animation is just the tool to tell the story". Or something like that.

Nice, hopefully I've got money for it but I still have to get all three of the Animaniacs and the Pinky and the Brain vols (three for each series), and the four Batman Animated series, and the batman Beyond series.....screw it I'll add it to my list.

18 & still watch the occasional, I admit my viewing has gone down hill extremely fast in the last 2 years but I still like to watch Spongebob Squarepants on a Saturday morning & anything with Superheroes in.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Spectacular Spider-Man
Transformers: Animated
Inuyasha
Family Guy
The Venture Bros.
Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law

Just to name the main ones. It's a shame, though...most Saturday morning cartoons are of low quality, Toonami is dead and buried, and Adult Swim is beginning to get muddled by crud like Metalocalypse and Xavier: Renegade Angel.

Exactly! I can't believe studios are so out of touch with their viewers that they don't know what they would want to watch. I'm more mad at Cartoon Network and Sci Fi channel. They have so much potential but they don't know what the f they are doing with their programming!

Cartoon Network ceased to have good material once it moved Yu Yu Hakusho to a death slot and cancelled Megas XLR (easily one of the best original cartoons they've ever made). That Meguzi crud is a pale imitation of the quality stuff Toonami used to have. Adult Swim was okay until they made the same mistake as CN- introducing live-action anything where it doesn't belong.

Sci-Fi Channel...they used to have some good anime on there, but now it's sporadic at best. I must admit, though, Tripping the Rift did appeal to the part of me that likes sci-fi and South Park.

bravestarr!! loved that show as a kid! what was it?

eyes of the hawk
ears of the wolf
strength of the bear
speed of the puma

something like that. i need to pick that up. and to answer the thread: most of what i watch is cartoonsas far as regular series go. cartoons account for 90% of my comedy intake as i'm not a fan of most comedy movies.

I rarely watch cartoons now since they just arent what they used to be. A lot are just to geared towards little children that it isnt as interesting anymore.

Cartoons are not just for kids

Only in america the media is meant for kids.

But in asia, anime is meant for adults.

Family Guy
The Simpsons
South Park
Justice League and JLU
Naruto
G.I.Joe Resolute

All the non-believers always says those are for kids but they watch Smallville, Heroes and other Sci-Fi movies.

The only differnce is one is animated and the other is live action.:whatever:
