Does anyone else think Bane looks like KGBEAST?

When I first saw Bane I thought he looked like KGBeast, but without the gun arm and eye goggle.

How old is the KGbeast character anyway?

I like him but haven't read much with him, and now he's dead.

KGBeast first appeared in Batman 417. Yeah I can see a slight resemblance. Strangely enought, KGBeast took a savage beating from Bane in the "Vengeance of Bane II" special.

I gotta see that. Yeah there is a slight resemblance. He reminds me of him somewhat.

I wonder when KG will be back. C'mon, you know he's not really dead.:)

It showed his body. With 2 bullets in his head. Ordinarily I'd agree with you. Unless, in about 10 or 20 years, Superboy Prime starts hitting **** again, I'd say KGBeast is dead dead dead.

Besides that the point of a KGBeast or NKVDemon is kinda gone. Maybe an AL-Quedanimal maybe.

He had 2 bullet holes in the head, and the body was found unlike characters such as Tempest, it's hard to come back from that. Also the KGBeast was lame which gives DC further incentive not to bring him back along with Magpie and the Ventriloquist.

That's the most important thing, I think. Very, very rarely do third *cough* fourth string characters ever come back from the dead. And with the way the death was set up, and executed (OMG, pun!), it's pretty obvious DC's just cleaning house with the lesser known Batvillains (although I sorta liked Ventriloquist:o).

Ventilroquist is a great villian :(
he has to come back later on down the track.

I don't think it actually showed Weskers bullet-riddled body, so there's always a chance.

They showed a panel with Scarface, then a blam then Scarface covered in blood, and then Scarface's head is crushed. The Ventriloquist is dead.

Good, it's time to reduce the number of villains Batman (keep the major ones) and Flash (keep the Rogues and Zoom) have and bulk up the number of villains for Superman, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow.

When did he die?

Right at the end of the recent issue of Detective Comics. Best scene ever. Mostly because I hated the Ventriloquist with a passion.

The debut of the KGBeast in the Ten Nights Of The Beast storyline was the best suspense espionage Batman tale of the late 80's.

BOOO! Ventilroquist with Mr. Socko was the greatest. Scarface sucked

Mr. Socko was funny. Scarface and the Quakemaster were just stupid :o

That was a pretty cool story. It's best to read the whole thing because KGBeast gets his licks on the non-Venomed up Bane.

I liked him, he's part of the Gallery, it's just part of Batman. That sucks he got killed.

f**k the ventriloquist...I mean for gods sake, he was a crazy skinny guy with a puppet...seriously, first time he even tried to start a gang someone would think "this guys an idiot" and shoot him in the head then and there...thank god he's gone :o

Do any of you remember when Bruce came back and took the Mantel back from Dick Grayson? He wore the all black outfit sans the underwear? In that issue, KGB Beast is a badass, and he is scary as hell. He threw a oil drum at Harvey and knocked him out. It was up to Robin to defeat him, and I never found out how, because I only bought Detective and Batman at the time. It was cool. My first expose to KG Beast was the inside of the back cover of Knightfall part ten in legends of the Dark Knight. There was a black and white version of the cover of ten nights of the beast.

On another "similar like Bane" note, one of the badguys in Sam Hamm's "Blind Justice" story looks like the inspiration for the artist who designed Bane.
