Ever wondered which of Batman's enemies really is the most dangerous? I don't think there is a definitive answer to this question, but it'd be interesting to see what fans thoughts are.

Lets pit various villains of Gotham City up against eachother and see how you think it would pan out. Remember this is completely opinion-based, and feel free to add your own match-ups to the list.

I'll kick this off with 3 battles & my thoughts on each:

1. the Joker Vs the Riddler:

A battle of whits and hired men with guns. The Joker, fed up with being considered the 2nd most intelligent villain in Gotham, decides its time to off the competition. The Joker and his men raide the Riddler's hideout. A gunfight between the two's henchmen ensues. The Joker ducks and dodges some bullets and manages to sneak off to find the Riddler and kill him personally. He finds himself in one of Riddler's mazes. Armed with explosives, the Joker decides to cheat the maze and blow away all the walls until he's at the maze's end. He enters another room where the Riddler awaits, guarded by two men with machine guns. The Joker reaches inside his jacket and triggers a laughing gas bomb from inside his pocket to go off, filling the room completely with green smoke. Unaffected by the gas, the Joker proceeds forward, cocking his gun. The Riddler's men fall to their knees, laughing hysterically, before dropping dead. The Riddler, holding his breathe, rushes over to a nearby cabinet, pulls out a gas mask, and puts it on, just as the Joker raises the gun to his head. "Doesn't protect you from bullets. Hahahahaha...!!!"

Winner: the Joker

2. the Scarecrow Vs the Penguin:

The Penguin has an arsenal of umbrellas loaded with different gases/weapons. However, he doesn't have one that releases a fear gas on his enemies, namely Batman. So Oswald contacts Jonathon Crane and sets up a meeting between the two to purchase some of the doctor's notorious fear toxin. To the Penguin's suprise, Crane arrives alone. The Penguin, looking to take advantage of the situation, calls for a quick change of plan and orders his men to seize Crane. He then informs Crane that there will be no money involved. Instead, he will give him the formula and in exchange, he won't be made into birdfeed. Crane surrenders, but upon doing so, lets a small beaker filled with the toxin fall from his sleeve and break open on the floor. Gas fills the room. The Penguin's men lose it, and run off in several different directions. When the smoke clears, the Penguin is curled up in a ball before Crane. Crane dons his mask and begins taunting the Penguin, who is terrified with visions of losing everything he has (money, power) and returning to a cold jail cell. Crane laughs as he begins tying the Penguin up. "You've just volunteered to be my new labrat!"

Winner: the Scarecrow

3. Bane Vs Clayface:

Bane is said to be Batman's most physically dangerous enemy. What about Clayface? Bane defeated Croc, and in a rematch, mopped the floor with KGBeast. Word was buzzing around that Bane was the toughest criminal in Gotham. Upon hearing this, Clayface felt this was a stab at him and set out to prove the rest of Gotham wrong. Clayface begins spying on Bane, watching his every movement, from the cracks in the ground, to the holes in the wall. Clayface waits for one of Bane's henchmen to go home for the night, then attacks him from out of the dark. He then mimicks that henchmen and reports into Bane the next day, pretending to be him. Once Bane has his back turned, Clayface transforms back into his true-self and impales Bane with a sword through his back and stomache. Bane falls to his knees and turns in shock to see his attacker. With all of his might, he climbs back to his feet and begins tearing away at Clayface. This task proves to be too much, even for the mighty Bane, and Clayface consumes him in attempt to suffocate him. Bane struggles to break free and eventually does. Nearly out of breathe, and losing blood quickly, Bane rushes for the back exit, near a water valve with a hose attachment. Knowing water is Clayface's Achilles Heel, Bane quickly turns the handle and water blasts out in Clayface's direction. Bane then proceeds to stumble out the back door. The water slows Clayface down a bit, but he still manages to slide out the door after Bane. Before Bane can make it to the street, Clayface grabs him and pulls him back. Holding Bane helplessly in the air, high over himself, Clayface transforms into a larger version of Bane, just before proceeding to bring Bane down over his knee Knightfall-style. "The old switcharoo. This time you play Batman, I'll play you! Ready?!"

Winner: Clayface
