I mean is this book canceled or something? I mean I know they are doing Ultimate Power but is the book suppose to pick up where it left off afterwards because they have yet to show if Power Princess survived that bomb or the showdown fight with Hyperion, Nighthawk, and Blur vs. Michael Redston.

It should be out with the next issue of Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine.

They're fighting the Ultimates right now, arent they? Is anyone reading that? I was considering picking it up...

Yeah Hyperion pretty much kicked Thor's ass twice with out breaking a sweat and the whole Squadron Supreme is pretty much just beating the crap out of the Ultimates. It is an okay read but I prefer to see Squadron Supreme in their own universe away from the Marvel world of Spider-Man and Cap and etc.

I am sorry I stand corrected he (Hyperion) beat The Thing with out a problem once his powers kicked back in when he was in the Marvel Ultimate world and beat Thor with ease after taking out the Human Torch.

Agreed! Hyperion isn't having a problem beating any of the Ultimates. Actually, the Squad is dominating the Ultimates. Not good if you are a Marvel fan to see the JLA beat the hell out of your favorite characters in the MU. I guess Superman and Batman will never lose in the MU. :(

Uh... the Ultimate universe is not the Marvel universe. 616 Thor has kicked the original Hyperion's ass a number of times. :oldrazz:

Yeah, the original Hyperion was a bit of a wuss. The 616 Hyperion was even worse.

616 Thor has got his ass kicked by Superman that it took the whole Avengers to bring him down.

I remember I dropped it, then another issue never came out.

According to Kurt Busiek, who's consistently written a very weak Thor every time he's used him. But it doesn't matter; the story's only in continuity for DC, not Marvel, and it has nothing to do with the Squadron Supreme. :oldrazz:

Is that true? Does DC really recognize that continuity, or were you making a funny?

Actually, since it occurred before Infinite Crisis, I'm honestly not sure whether it's in continuity anymore.

That's actually kinda cool. It's stupid when the crossover recognizes continuity, but the stories from either company that follow don't.

Oof good point. I wish cross company stuff would stick more often. Like when Darkseid got sucked into the source wall during Teen Titans/X-Men. Would have been cool to see him get himself out of that.

Nah, I prefer it when cross-company crossovers just stay out of continuity. I treat them like What Ifs from back when What Ifs were about worlds that were identical to the 616 Earth except for one change that made them diverge into their own continuity.

But cross company crossovers that recognize continuity create an even bigger shared universe. That's cool.

That'd work if they could happen regularly. But they're too infrequent and require too much red tape and coordination to really add anything significant to each of the universes.
