Does DC need a MEGA-Event...like..Right now?

Isn't Multiversity coming this summer? That won't be a huge event, but it'll probably be the summer event. If not, Pandora and her schemes will be an event. Personally, I like big ol' events, but only every other year, however, Flashpoint wasn't very good and if DCE wants to show they can do a good cohesive line wide crossover I'll be all over that like stink on poop.

Multiversity is looking like it'll be pretty neat when it comes out

Indeed, I can't wait to see Overman. Just because he is an alien and a Nazi doesn't mean he doesn't have feelings, he's just a little misunderstood.

What is Multiversity? wasn't that the mini-series that was going to be written by Grant Morrison?

Yipper. G-Mo said at SDCC it's coming this summer. But given the relaunch it may not be coming at all, hopefully it will.

No, what DC need to do now, is completely forget about events ("Mega" or otherwise) and focus on writing decent comic books. Comic books that remind people why they like these characters to begin with.
It's this ****ing INSANE obsession with "events" and ever escalating threat that have put DC and Marvel both in the burnt out, very tired place they both currently occupy.

As much as I agree with you the problem is when they DO do that, the sales tank. Remember when marvel tried to experiment a whole year without events about a year ago? Sales sunk on everything and they were forced to do Fear Itself. Even when quality products are put out, sales never reflect it and Marvel and DC's hands are pretty much tied. We keep saying we want good comics but no one shows up to buy em.
