Do you notice more good the second time around or more flaws?

I noticed more flaws the second time around. I liked it slighly less than the first time because I wasn't as wowed by the effects. But than again, it was still the best blockbuster in decades either way.

It's worth seeing twice just to try to digest more details. Like Ratchet using his saw.

More flaws the second time. My first viewing I was just excited to see the Autobots and Decepticons and on my second viewing I wasn´t wowed anymore cause it´s just a weak story and character development so I´m guessing that on my third viewing I´ll like it even less

I know what your up to B_L ;) very sneaky sir

it's getting better forever, I just went to see Prime and Bumble, not really care much about the movie.

I liked it more the second time around actually. I think it had to do more with the crowd being into it a lot more than my first time.

Also, you'll only notice flaws if you go in looking for flaws. It's a Michael Bay movie, it's not Casablanca. Go in, turn off your brain, and enjoy.

The problem is that one of the reasons we enjoy movies the first time is because of all the surprises. Once you take away the surprises there has to be something else to keep you involved in the story or you're going to notice flaws out of boredom. It's only natural.

Not really. I mean, it's not like you won't notice the flaws or anything, but for me at least it's easy to just let them go by. Especially in this type of movie, let's be honest we're not here watching it because of the great plot or anything.

the theme, no sacrafice, no victory becomes more apparent that's for sure

Autobots are willing to die to save humanity.

Jazz dies doing this.

Sam risks his life to save the autobots.

Prettymuch everyone is willing to sacrafice something for victory. What happens in the end is the autobots win but lose their chance to save their home world.

Generally this is true. But with that shaky-ass camera, I think you'll find new things every time you view this film over the next 12 years.

Not to mention that victory is a bitter pill.

Cybertron is lost. Damn near an entire city demolished. Government exposed. Countless human deaths (implied but not explicitly shown.) No real guarantee there won't be a follow-up, far larger offensive. Decepticons still on the loose.

Every film I've ever went to a second time has been worse.
I can't see how any film can be better in the theater a second time, because it doesn't work for me.

It's better when you haven't watched a movie in a while then you watch it again. It reminds you why you liked it in the first place instead of boring you because all the surprises are fresh in your mind.

I've seen it twice, and even though I was digging it to the exstreme the first time, I was digging it even more the second time!!!

Better is subjective. In terms of humour and tension, its obviously going to be worse the second time since you know whats going to happen.
But, a second viewing makes following the action all the more easier.

I really want to watch it at least one more time in theaters. I'm addicted to Peter Cullen's voice...

and Megan's tight tummy.

From my experience it was much better the second time around. The only thing that dragged was the middle part. I might even go a third time today :wow:

Sector 7 guy just plain sucks. You know it the first time yous ee it and you definetly know it everytime after.

I notice more flaws, but at the same time I am much more prepared for them. I also notice hidden easter eggs I didn't see before. But the fun level remains the same.

I think the fun factor depends on who you see it with and what the crowd will be like. I hope the crowd I see it with the 2nd time will be as good as the first...great enthusiasm. I haven't seen a crowd like that in a loong time.

I'm trying not to read too much of the negativity....I want to enjoy my second viewing :(
