See, thats where Wilhelm put words into my mouth. I never said blacks and latinos were abusive. All I said was that when we do something REALLY STUPID chances are we'll get cursed at by our parents. So, its not really a big deal.

HOWEVER, if a kid is getting verball abused every single day for pointless things...then yeah...thats different. And not at all what I was talking about.

One of the big influences in my life was a Black guy that rented half of our house from us when I was a kid.
He was a Jazz saxophonist and a Chemist.
He's now married to a Black woman and went on to become the pastor of a church.
They had a kid and they are totally touchy-feely/"No no, we're gonna have to put you in time-out now. " parents who are interested in Child Psychology and would never in a trillion years "curse him out".

Saying "we've all been cursed out..." is no more true than if someone said all Blacks and Hispanics are lazy, dim-witted drug addicts who dream of raping white women.

There are some people with brown skin who abhor profanity and who just naturally wouldn't raise their voice in anger/frustration.

Nothing really that bad? The man called his own 12 year old daughter a pig, just one of many insults he used. How can that be defended? He's an adult man, he should be able to control his anger and refrain from acting YOUNGER than his 12 year old daughter and engaging in school yard name calling.

The irony of the situation is - you're defending what he said in a voice mail, but can you blame his daughter for not answering the phone if that voice message is any indication of what a prick he is? No wonder Basinger left the loser and doesn't want her kids to be around him!

Not really defending however I don't pretend to be better than everyone else, we're all only human, when we feel we don't ahve control of a situation we lash out... Get off your frickin pedestal, raising kids is hard and thankless work, and when your divorsed it's 10x harder to raise a good kid if your former spouse sucks.

Also I came from a rather supportive family who didn't really imploy that kind of verbal abuse. However, my best friend's family... Like I've heard his mom call his little brother a ****** over not shoveling the drive-way, however I can see the love in the family, and both my best friend and his brother turned out just fine. I doubt this is going lead to terrible emotional scarring, but now what it will do, is give an 11 year old a chance to be a brat since 11 year olds will do anything to get their way.

dude, i can see right through you. the only reason you're so outraged over this is because baldwin's outspoken political beliefs contradict your own. i'm sure your boy sean hannity is going to have a field day with this due to their feud.

i don't know the whole story behind this, but it seems to be a bit overblown. yeah, chances are alec baldwin is a conceited ass, but for all we know maybe his daughter's a little brat who deserved to get chewed out. i wouldn't call my kid a "pig", but i've heard a worse.

on a side note, i love his work on 30 rock. best sitcom on tv that's not named "the office".
