Was part 1 worth the price?
I got the year pass for $29.99 that gives access to both parts 1 and 2, so in a sense I paid $15 for it. It gave me a good 8 hrs of gameplay on easy mode just to get through the story first before I tried the harder difficulties, so to me, it was definitely worth it. It's also, imo, harder than the main campaign. Was part 1 worth the price?
Yep, I would have loved coop in this game.Hopefully that means Invasion mode is finally coming because Battlemode has just been a joke. The thing was buggy as hell on release, it has a janky set up when it is working and aside from it being an uneven experience, they really haven't done much with it outside of seasonal events.
It's a shame co-op was never serious consideration as I think that would have been easier to impliment.
Just bought this and it will be my first Doom game since the original. I didn't realise it was a sequel am I better playing 2016 first?
I've not played Eternal still so I couldn't say in terms of narrative, but 2016 is great fun so I'd totally reccommend it. It's probably cheap to get hold of by now too.
Well Eternal was cheaper when I looked that's why I plumped for that. Just didn't realise at the time they followed on from each other but thanks for the recommendation.
Watch modders put Dark Ages weapons in Eternal. For those who play DOOM: Eternal on PC:
