    Happy Easter, Guest!

Bethesda Doom Eternal

Open letter regarding Gordon's OST situation.

I ain't reading all that ****. Is there going to be a a fixed version or not?

Oh dear what a mess. I suppose maybe as fans we should always be careful of demanding stuff from creators

At least here’s some good news to distract

I really like mullet slayer

Just finished this yesterday. I'm not usually a fan of FPS's, and all my games are from a third person view. It's my second FPS experience, with Doom 2016 being my first just a few weeks back (basically been playing these 2 games during quarantine). I gotta say, this feels like DMC in FPS mode, it's totally ****ing rad. Can't wait for the story DLC and hopefully a third game in a few years to complete a trilogy.

my days just consist of pacing around the house and listening to bfg division

i just want my life back, bros : (

I'm usually more into third person but first person in doom always feels right. I prefer shooters to have first and third person options but Doom shouldn't ever have third person

I'm much more into third person but I'm happy for games that have always been first person like Doom, Halo & CoD to stay that way out of tradition. Having both options like in Skyrim is ideal (but probably expensive).

Same here on 3PS/FPs. I hope this franchise keeps going beyond a trilogy as it's one of the best out there at the moment.

I enjoy using both options in Battlefield and Star Wars Battlefront

As if the spyware **** wasn't enough, I hope you all have Twitch Prime to enjoy the new Master Levels...

I have Twitch Prime I think because I have Amazon Prime but I don't use Twitch and really do not like the idea of this kind of gatekeeping going on in a video game that Amazon and Twitch have absolutely no part in.

Making you sign up for some "free" third party service (Bethesda especially) that will datamine you is bad enough. Making you pay for Prime to get bonus content is beyond acceptable.

Well they released a statement saying they scrapped that plan early on, and that was just leftover coding found by a cheat engine. I'm willing to believe their word on this one since it doesn't seem likely they'll kill a business deal with Twitch after the fact.

But the Denuvo thing is another story.

I don't know what that is and didn't read the article because I don't have a pc but isn't something anti-cheat a good thing?

Not when it uses kernel level access and is almost certainly going to be exploited.

This anti-cheat is installed at the kernel level of the computer's OS. That means it has unrestricted access (level 0) to the physical hardware like the CPU, memory and other devices. Usually, most user programs should only have access to the higher levels.

More info: Protection ring - Wikipedia

Players have ran benchmarks and confirmed some performance issues (lower framerates). Beside that, the worst thing is it can be exploited thus leaving a potential backdoor to spyware/malware to your PC. Denuvo also develops a DRM for anti-piracy that is/was known to be very hard to crack, yet it can be cracked (RE7 got cracked in less than a week). So if their anti-piracy tech can be "easily" bypassed, don't you think their anti-cheat tech can get the same treatment?

Finally, DAC be uninstalled but guess what? The game won't even start!

It's Bethesda, so a free DLC is quite unlikely.
