There is a new movie version of Oscar Wilde's "the Picture of Dorian Gray" coming

Plot Summary: Based on the classic novel by Oscar Wilde, Dorian Gray tells the story of a strikingly beautiful young man named Dorian Gray (ben barnes).

He arrives in Victorian London and is swept into a social whirlwind by the charismatic Henry Wotton (colin firth) , who introduces Dorian to the hedonistic pleasures of the city. When a portrait of Dorian is unveiled, such is its beauty that he makes a pledge: he would give anything to stay as he is in the picture - even his soul.

Dorian Gray examines the destructive power of beauty, the blind pursuit of pleasure and the darkness that can result.

Yeah, I saw the trailer. It doesn't look bad. He reminds me of Stewart Townsend's "Dorian Gray" from the LXG movie.
It should be interesting.

How did I have absolutely no idea that this was coming out...and this soon?

Looks decent.

posters look disgusting...
the movie looks cheapy

Anyone saw this yet?

I saw it today, Colin Firth was the best thing in it, his character was mean and influnced Gray a lot and it was like a toy to him, Ben Barnes was also good (nice to look at) I thought the film was alright the painting and how he stays young was interesting and how the painting looked and how it got to Gray etc

Time for a new Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde. Paging Viggo Mortensen !

There's also the one with Keanu Reeves. And apparently someone is still trying to get a film version of the musical off the ground.

Hopefully, there will be more international dates released soon. I saw this at the Toronto International Film Festival twice and loved it. Would like to see it again back home in the US, though.
