I love it...I absolutely love it....He's got armor (not metallic skin), he's got the cloak, and it just spells kickass! Doom's day is here!!! (should this photo be real)

Doom doesn't do mini-skirts, Doom wears a tunic...you dare blaspheme Doom's name...such acts would incur Doom's wrath :)

Doom looks regal as all ****

Looks like they used some roman influence on his costume

granted no idea how old this is, but totally in the right direction

Very nice. I wasn't expecting the mask to look like that (mostly the mouth area--I was hoping for the grill), but everything looks solid. And I can live with the mask...since Victor has sported that look in the comics at times...albeit not quite as classic. But it works. Major, MAJOR improvement over the first incarnation.

Very nice. I'm not exactly thrilled with the mask (mostly the mouth area--I was hoping for the grill), but the rest of it looks good. Are we sure it's legit?

It comes along with the GG2 and Venom pics, and we know those are legit since they're from a previous set.

And the grill might just be missing from the concept art, and if not, hopefully it was added back in.

Yes, I sincerely hope this is close to final because....oh its beautiful...now make sure that there is some changes in McMahon's vocal tone, give him great dialogue, and Doom-like behavior and we have a winner folks....

on a side note

Venom looks ****ing kick ass

Either that...or we're looking at the cosmically-changed version from the first film. Remember, we never saw Victor post-transformation without the mask. So maybe that's what he looks like?

I agree with you zer00 but why can't they get the Green Goblin right? Dafoe's Osborn was genius and he acted like the Green Goblin. I've gotten used to that outfit but what they have done to Harry...sheesh!!!

The armour design is sensational:wow: and the mini skirt thing looks ok in the Roman context Zer00 pointed out

True. But it looks like there's too many mask like designs on it to be his face. And a bit too clean, considering his face was supposed to look like charred ****ed up metal.

I'm just curious how close to the final design this is. I wouldn't think they'd have Doom go shirtless, just for comfort reasons. It's like putting Chiklis in the trunks instead of the long pants.

I think the costume is bore from character. It's just the nitty gritty, since Harry's mind isn't affected the same way Norman's was he...doesn't really go for the insane look. He just wants to kill Peter, so it almost is like he's in an unfinished Goblin suit. Without all the fancy ****.

That's what I take from it anyway.

And anything with arm blades is cool.

Whole thing is a Roman pose, even the style of cape as well. You could even say the armor designs as well. Definite Roman influence all over.

Nice! The torso plate looks wicked crispy.

Can you imagine if eveything else falls into place (Doom's dialogue, his actions, McMahon's vocal tone), THAT Doctor Doom, marching towards his throne with Doombots all in his throneroom, etc. "Destroy Richards and his clan...none may deny the destiny of Doom."

Let's pray they haven't. Because armored nipples kill CBM franchises! :cmad:

I have a feeling that we're not going to get any of that in this film, but the conclusion of FF2 may hint towards his rise to monarchy in the next sequel. We're taking baby steps here with his arc...but at least he's growing.

It sort of looks like the Ultimate Universe is beginning to show it's influence over this sequel. That's all well and good in this case, though. It looks less like the physical growths he got and more like an armor than anything, which I have no qualm with (perhaps Doom uses this to cover the molten scars he procured from the 'superheating experiment' he survived). I like the etchings, and his pose as well as the choice of garment are all classic Doom. Perhaps zer00 is right in that it's Roman inspiration, which would make sense. The tunic is a little odd, but still feels like it could work.

All in all, they've improved a good design. That in itself is never bad.

Holy crap......that is AWESOME.........if that is what he looks like for the sequel....they better sure as hell leave the "happy voice" at home.....

That design deserves a booming, bass, regal voice....not a sarcastic happy voice.....:o

Do you think he will be in Latveria at all in this movie, LS?
