So do you guys think that the people who said "its good not great" don't really relate to the avg movie goer?
Also, if ou could, how many of you would decide to watch the movie in 3-D (regardless of the litle extra $)?-I'm still debating if I should or not.

The comments on Joblo about 'too much of a chick flick' and 'not enough action' are criticisms some (not myself) could easily level at Donner's Superman.

The whole chick flick thing has been, since Spider-Man, the studios' way of getting a female audience for superhero films, and it's part of the genre now. Used to be the damsel in distress was only there to have the plot explained to her, and need rescuing. Now we have the whole 'will-they-won't-they?' subplot every time.

Anyone who ever expects Singer to make a real action movie is never going to be satisfied, because the guy is not an action director. At heart, he's a thriller director, and his greatest talent is his graceful, economic storytelling.

No I think only that ACTUALLY we have 2 journalists who have seen the movie and that they have wrote very good things about it.
We have another site, comiccontinuum.com, that has reported a good reaction with applause...

And I think that we have another guy (not a journalist) that has only reported mixed reactions of so-called friends. Who are his friends? Are they journalists?

And don't forget the fantastic end of his article:

"if you saw the film, send us a review"

So probably he wants your opinion. Write to him

Just concentrate on the word "good" people, and last time i got the Memo, "good" doesn't mean anything negative.

I don't care if SR satisfies the "elitist fanboys." I above and beyond hope I'm satisfied, but maybe as important the general viewing audience. They're the ones who will determine Superman's future.

If a critic doesnt like this film that is fine with me but JoBlo says "there's not enough action" and "not in touch with the young/urban" croud? Did he want McG? Did he want a loud obnoxious eye candy filled film? Because we could get that from anybody.
