Dragonball moves to April 8th 2009

Critics don't like entertainment they like to look smart by only giving excellent reviews to independent movies and movies that other critics don't like...

Hence why Spider-man 2 didnt get nominated for any of the real oscars, only for a few technical ones. And even Roger Ebert said that was a Best Picture ish movie xD.

Nice to see some have reasonable expectations. 30% on RT.com would be fine, although I personally don't care what they think.

I agree to an extent. I don't think Spider-Man 2 was Best Picture nominated-worthy, but I do think that Alfred Molina deserved a Best Supporting Actor nod.

If fox can release that movie on June 12th 2009 then why not Dragonball? Dragonball deserves a summer release than that movie. I think it is obvious tha fox knows that they have a crap product and hence they are dumping it in April.

Seems like fox is not gonna give this a worldwide release which sucks for boxoffice because piracy hurts films boxoffice.

April 30th for spain. Same day as wolverine because that movie releases worldwide.

i never thought about that. that would be an interesting idea but i think i would rather see it as a regular style movie.

Based on the shot of that one set, I think this film will at minimum be a visual marvel. Of course, Batman & Robin was a visual marvel and that movie sucked out loud.

if they were gonna go that route then they would be better off using cell-shaded 3D graphics, ala Appleseed: Ex Machina. not only is it harder to rotoscope 2d animation, it's more time consuming.

dragonball made sometihing like 300 with a more realistic background but still stylized would be groundbreaking. with a popcorn summer story it would IMO make milions.

I'm just crossing my fingers hoping that this movie will actually be good because us Dragon Ball fans have been waiting for this for a long time. Now that they have extra time and a dedicated cast full of rising stars, they need to captilize and make the best possible product that they can, we deserve their best possible work.
