Dragonball Z Reboot Casting Thread

[Man of Tomorrow]

With the failure of Dragonball Evolution at hand, I believe the next step must be a reboot/sequel.

A reboot along the lines of Incredible Hulk compared to Ang Lee's Hulk. This one would be "Dragonball Z." Go with a different tone and more serious and badass take.

Better idea......no more live action Dragonball period.....

But you have a decent cast except Samuel L Jackson for Piccolo

The cast needed star power for general audiences. That's why I preferred Sam over someone like Peter Mensah (who was my second choice).

With the Nick Fury buzz soon, Jackson will be more popular than ever.

Either way, someone like that is a better fit than James Marsters.

In that case....

Kami - Liam Neeson (make him younger and bit of a badass)
King Vegeta - Gary Oldman
Piccolo - (Hell-Boy type effects) Hugo Weaving voice
Freeza - (CGI) With Mads Mikeslon voice
Vegeta - Christian Bale (Insane but badass hero who screams a lot... that is Bale)
King Kai - (CGI) Morgan Freeman voice (I am god!)

How about Ernie Reyes, Jr.?

Actually I prefer Goku to be white, he makes him relatable for a American audience. Not a muscle bound guy either. I think chatwin had the right look for the first movie, just needed to bulk up a bit when gets to the Z part of the series.

Goku being white caused too much of a backlash with the core fans immediately.

Chatwin was a miscast.
