DTL Season 4-Week 8 (Set 1)

The rules:
This is one of four threads, each containing two match ups.
The threads will be in use for 6 days.
Days 1-4 (Thursday-Sunday) are strictly setup time for owners to plead their cases, tell us their team’s strategies, breakdown the match ups, and do whatever else they can/want to do to try and convince you that their team would pull out a victory. Please, let the owners do this on their own with no help from you, the fan.

When Day 5 (Monday) rolls around, I’ll post and tell everyone that voting may begin. Only after doing so will voting start. Any votes cast before I open voting will not count.
To vote, look over the matchups and read the owners strategies and take them into consideration. Afterwards, use your best judgment to decide who you think has the best chance to win the match up and post up the teams you think will prevail.
(Note: The length of a writeup is up to the owner. Do not punish owners just for having a shorter writeup.)

To vote, give each writeup a score out of 10, with the team you feel winning the match earning the higher score. No tie votes are allowed, one team must get a higher score, even if only by a single vote.

Remember, to vote for each match up or your vote will not count!

The teams with the highest vote total at the end of the 6th day (Tuesday) will get a W while the other will get an L.

DL: "Damn, this place is sweet. But I can't find anything to drink."

The other members of Chaos & Order are gathered around a table in a tall spire of a building, considering their opponents when Deadline walks in.

Proctor: "There is water over there, and other beverages in their with the food."

DL: "No, I meant a real drink. Something with a kick?"

Proctor: "I could kick you while you drink the water."

DL: "Funny."

Proctor: "Who was joking?"

GL: "Ok, ok. How about we get back to business here. Besides, I don't think the New Gods would drink alcohol. Or, mayby they drink stuff that gets gods drunk."

DL: His face lights up. "Got to get me some of that!"

Shanzar: Focuses on their opponents. "Strange is..."

DL: "Yeah, yeah, Strange is yours. You say the everytime. But if you notice, this is Strange/Man-Thing. Don't know what that means, but it's got to be important."

Shanzar: "Not to me."

Proctor: Cups his chin with one hand while thinking. "It should be. I have heard of this Man-Thing in my travels. You will need to be prepared for it."

Shanzar: "Then prepare me and I will kill him."

DL: "You say that everytime too." Shanzar throws him a withering glare, but Deadline just shrugs his shoulders.

GL: "We've fought Zeitgiest before. And Wally's told me about Chunk. And I know about this Atom. So...what's this Quesar like?"

Proctor: "So-called Protector of the Universe."

GL: "Yeah, so was Voltron." The other just give him a questioning stare. "What, I was the only one who watched cartoons as a kid?"

Silver: "Apparently," she says, smiling. She turns back to Proctor. "What are his powers?"

Proctor: "Creation of energy constructs. Manipulation of energy."

GL: "Sounds very familiar."

Proctor: "If what I have heard about him is true, he is much stronger and more adept than you are."

GL: "Always liked a challenge," Kyle says with a wink.

Shanzar: "He does not sound so difficult."

GL: "You want to trade?"

Shanzar: "Strange is..."

"Mine!" the others say in unison. Kyle and Silver laugh while Deadline chuckles and goes off looking for some godly booze. Proctor just shakes his head, and Shanzar crosses his arms in anger.

Sorry I haven't been around dudes but my PC had a nervous breakdown and I am currently without use of a PC at home (I'm at an internet cafe at the mo)

Question: Are last seasons matches canon? Because I haven't faced wiggy yet and he has his team saying they've faced zeitgeist before. If they are canon , isn't that a tad unfair considering that I wasn't in last seasons competition and thus have no canon to draw upon?

Quasar better than a GL in every respect

Dr Strange and Shanzar could be a stalemate but I think the Manthings powers could tip the scale in my favour

Bear in mind that I would be given each team member at least a 100,000 atoms each

Your characters can remember as much as you want, except deaths of course. I don't remember the season, but GL and Silver fought Zeitgeist while he was under Ahura Mazda.
