DuckTales 2017

MOON THEME!!!!

Really enjoyed that episode. Oxychew! A ship running on gold is another good explanation of the money bin going down.

The 8bit Moon theme from the old Nintendo game is probably popular than the game itself, I don't watch the old Ducktales series or play the game but I recognized the theme in this episode instantly. It played at least a few times throughout the episode too.

Next episode, The Outlaw Scrooge McDuck, airs on May 8 with John Hodgman voicing John D Rokerduck.

Wikipedia says next 2 episodes will air May 7 and 9, with different titles (no sources) so I’m not sure which is right.

Okay, great, we have dates. I still don't like the irregular schedule, but at least we already know that Ducktales got a third season. Plus, weird schedule dates or not, there's yet to be, for my money, a single bad episode of this series.

I already got it set to record

Missed last night's episode premiere, but if I'm looking at the schedule correctly, they're just barreling through the rest of the season with new episodes each day from yesterday until May 16 with the season finale.

Again, I love this show, but I do not like its scheduling at all.

I'm not exaggerating:
Glomgold dancing to DJ Khaled
in The 87 Cent Solution is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

Boy, when you realize

why Della already had a "When mom returns home horn" hidden away

a lot more onions were getting chopped.

Today's episode was better than Season 8 of GoT

A lesson in how to Subvert Expectations XD

I haven't seen the latest episodes yet, but I loved the Wild West one with Rockerduck.

The last batch of episodes were real good. Especially the one they ended the batch with.

Set up for an actual Darkwing Duck show. With a great twist to one of the villains.

At least they also prepared us by telling us how long the next hiatus will be. It will return in Sept.

Ha, Edgar Wright did the voice of the British director that was totally not like Christopher Nolan. Hmm, I seem to recall a certain Grace person saying he'd never work for Disney again...

Okay, finally finished with the rest of Season 2 and wow am I overjoyed. Some thoughts, though.

First off, I agree with Fenton. What kind of monster doesn't like glazed donuts?
This season allowed just about everyone to shine. Glomgold, Fenton, Lena, Mrs. Beakley, even if they didn't get dedicated episodes, they got some development. I enjoyed Beakley and Launchpad's friendship, Fenton's potential outside of the suit, Della's reunion with the boys and Scrooge. I appreciate that it took some time for things to go back to normal and that Della's return wasn't easy. Things changed and she had to adjust to the new times.

I think there was a missed opportunity in not seeing Donald's reaction, but I suppose he's far too 'preoccupied' on the moon. Plus, Scrooge's overjoyed reaction to seeing her alive again was heartwarmng. But that finale, though. If that's not a backdoor pilot to a Darkwing Duck reboot, then I don't know what is. Sterling's turn to becoming Negaduck felt believable and now I just want to see him meet Magica. All in all, a great season that's just as enjoyable as the first. I still don't like how this series is scheduled, but the quality of the series is enough for me to overlook that.
