Dude thinks watching Survivorman makes him a expert to survive the wilderness

Don't they start out those shows with a "Don't try this" warning?

Les Stroud is a man I'd follow through Hell and back.

But it doesn't make me want to go do this stupid ****.

I thought it was kids who needed to be warned of not attempting things they see on television? =l

I played Command and Conquer when I was in college. Guess that makes me an expert in military tactics.

Shouldn't this be "Dude THOUGHT watching Survivorman makes him a expert to survive the wilderness"?
He's dead now.

Must have been pretty tough when the guy realized he wasnt going to make it and that he made a mistake.

It happens all the time. People who watch sports who think they are suddenly great athletes. People who watch martial arts movies and think they know a thing or two abotu fighting.

I can't tell you how many times a week people come into my dojo and look on then comment on this or that being wrong based on no experience at all ... or movie experience. "But that's how I saw Bruce Lee do it," "That's great, but that's kung fu in a movie, this is karate and real life."
