Dukerjay's Art Thread

I'm always open to requests...I can't guarantee it will get done in a timely fashion but I could give it a shot, I'm sure.

Sorry about all the same poses...that's basically the only way I can do each variant as quickly as I can.

I may have a Wolverine up in the next hour or so...depends on how fast it comes together.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone.

EdRyder, I've got SOME bad guys up...throw out a few suggestions, though.

In the meantime, here's Kitty Pryde AKA Shadowcat in her Astonishing duds:

What medium do you use? It almost loks like airbrush?

Nono, I completely am cool with the poses-you use a base template, and work from there. I understand--that's why I have like 80+ Drakatars.

I found that design in the Spider-Man costume thread...I just don't know what the bottom half looks like...

Like I said, I'll ask ArtistSean about it later.

A'ight.

So...before hit the sack, here's the Wolverine I was working on, in both a masked and unmasked version.

Again, Ronnie Thunderbolt DOES have a Logan of his own but there are a few tweaks I wanted to make...not the least of which is his costume...this one comes straight out of the pages of Astonishing X-Men:

Once I get my Cyclops done, I'll post something of a team pic with the whole Astonishing team...I think.

Hey Duker, can you do a Detective Lee (from Spider-Man:TAS) one please? I always thought she was cool

Not a huge update, but...

I'm trying out the "team shot" thing.

Here's the Fantastic Four:

That background is temporary...at best.

you should try and find a way to make money off this stuff hey. I liked your drawings earlier too

Try to make money off of Marvel characters drawn in Steve Gordon's style?

The only possibilities are illegal, I'm sure.

It's the thought that counts, though.

What I meant was to design your own or something. What do you do for a living?

Oh...I've gotcha.

Well, right now, I work at a homeless shelter for a living. I'll be doing this until the summer when I'll go tree-planting and then I plan on going back to school next fall. I've completed two years of a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at the Alberta College of Art and Design and I think I want to finish that up.

But, yeah...it'd be a dream to be able to do something like this professionally...someday. I do have ideas kicking around in my head and I'm currently working on one whenever I can get the chance.

Who knows, though...who knows?

Thats cool, I went to the Laguna College of Art and Design.

Are you going to make a group shot of the X-Men, or of all the spider-men?
Id love to see an action shot of Spider-Man versus Venom or a close up of the things facial expressions or something but I know your probably busy with your own stuff too, like school.

A couple of things to put up.

First, a little graphic design for everybody. This is a logo I created for our hockey team. It got made and it's on our jerseys...unfortunately, we still haven't won a game.

And this one here is one I did for the colouring contest on the board. THIS IS NOT MY LINE-ART...I JUST DID THE COLOURING. This is a bigger one than I posted in the actual thread...don't know why I mentioned that.

Anyway...here it is.

how do you have a pic that has been colored this well... but all your other coloring does not even scrape the surface of this image?

Because you asked for it!

Here's the Astonishing X-Men...and, in following the pattern, I've put together a "battle-ready" version and a more laid-back one:

Beast: Oh you all go f*** yourselfs

Since everyone else got two versions, I figured I needed to mod my Beast and Shadowcat a little to give them their own "laid-back" versions.

So, here they are:

And, I redid the teamshot of everyone "unmasked":

I don't wanna sound like a pest Duker but I think you missed my Detective Lee request

How about drawing Lockheed on her shoulder or something?

Sorry, I didn't miss that...to be honest, I didn't remember what she looked like and I couldn't find a picture...then I got distracted.

I thought of that...it'll probably happen eventually.
