I don't get how people say Lloyd was an ass in the sequel, but not the original. He was a giant dick, just like the sequel.

The characters had no heart in this.think back to the original. You had Lloyd breaking down about his lack of significance and love in his life to Harry. Lloyd almost crying when he saw Harry with Mary at her house. Although he came off rude to the little old lady his heart was in the right place when telling her that she can still serve a purpose. Feeling bad and crying when Harry was pissed they drove in the wrong direction. He went after his best friend after he got the hog to try make it up to Harry instead of just heading to Aspen by himself.

So please name one damn thing either character did in this sequel that had any heart. There was none. It was slapstick, A.D.D humor with characters that looked the same and that's it. It was dumb and dumber in name only.

Lloyd got his kidney removed too give to Harry. That's probably the greatest thing the character has ever done as a friend.

Lloyd was also mean in the first one. The old lady, giving Billy the dead bird, the bad taste joke with the barber and the blood, the laxative, the burp and 'I don't caaaaree' to the woman/police in the bar, etc.
He was more upbeat in this one that's for sure, but I think that's how Carrey decided to play him this time. For me the character is still the same. They're like childs, specially him. He means well but he goes for meaner course of actions. Like when he first sees Penny, I don't think is creepy, he just likes women and doesn't know exactly how to act around them. Same with Mary, all the emotions are overreacted for Lloyd. He sees Mary for like 10 minutes and when she leaves he almost cries with a "you gotta be strong...!". And in this one as soon as Penny pushes him, he is like "I...loooove you!". Is all part of his childish charm, he's not a bad person. He removed his own kidney for Harry!
People are mean to this movie, that's for sure.

This movir was hysterical. Not as good as the first, but that's because the first one had twenty years to get a following. You can totally tell Carrey had fun playing Lloyd again.

I'm happy to see all these good thoughts on this sequel as the first was one of my favorite comedy movies! I hope to manage to see this one when it comes out on BluRay as I missed it, although it's gonna take a while.

the movie was decent. i guess decent.

isnt the whole point of a dumb dumberer movie that it ends with the characters doing something dumb? so how can it end with a ''child game'' of pushing someone in the bush? thats it? thats all?

the directors said that Laerence didnt shoot a cameo. but i could swear i heard her voice when they showed a young Fraida *****er

BOBBY FARRELLY: There was a rumor about that because when we were shooting Dumb and Dumber To they were also shooting The Hunger Games down in Atlanta and she was a big Dumb and Dumber fan so one night we all went out to dinner and then that just a rumor.

GALLOWAY: Oh so she didn’t shoot a scene that was then cut?

BOBBY FARRELLY: No. And by the way, she’s a very good kisser.

GALLOWAY: Yes? [LAUGHS] Tell us more about the kiss.

BOBBY FARRELLY: I saw her making out with her boyfriend. She knows what she’s doing. [LAUGHS] She really does.

GALLOWAY: But she wasn’t in a scene that was cut? She wasn’t in a scene that she then wanted cut?

BOBBY FARRELLY: No.
