Dumb & Dumber 2-Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels Return

Agreed.

Comedy sequels are almost always terrible. As are sequels made more than ten years after the original.

This is both.

Maybe they will be hating themselves for not getting on the bus with the Hawaiian Tropic Girls at the end of the first movie.:hehe:

Jims also working on a Bruce Almighty sequel, imo his last good movie. The Mask was my FAVORITE movie growing up and is still up there, I have been waiting so long for a sequel. There was talk of a sequel a couple years after the first starring Chris Tucker.

All sequels/prequels they have tried to Jim Carrey movies NOT starring Jim Carrey have been HORRIBLE. Evan Almighty, Dumb and Dumberer, Son of the Mask, Ace Ventura Jr. Not sure if Im missing any.

This can't be anything but awesome. Here's hoping Lauren Holly is in this one.

There has been a sequel to The Mask titled "Son of the Mask." It stars Jamie Kennedy and is in fact as bad as it sounds.

Need I say more?

Batman and Robin, that made a lot of it's dough because of Carrey's involvement, and you see his Riddler outfit in Arkham Asylum, so his presence is missed.
I actually think you are onto something here, that there is some kind of creative curse concerning doing a follow up to a successful Jim Carrey movie, without Carrey's involvement.

He did Ace Ventura 2, which was not very good(i saw it once), and that was why he vowed never to do another sequel, so perhaps that was what set the creative curse going. the muses saw that Carrey was being wise in not doing sequels, as he wanted quality product, but the studios don't care, they will still try and squeeze a buck out of Carrey despite his absence, so the muses curse the films to be crap.
I think between the two of us, we have figured it out.
A pleasure working with you DrDoom, as i imagined it would be, how could it not be? haha

Did everyone forget this travesty?

No one forgot that and the farelleys mention they had nothing to do with it. It was a film the studio wanted to make a buck of property.

Indeed, his last good movie.

Yes Man was decent, surely above average, but won't go there with the Classic Carey movies. His glory days were in the 90s<3!

I do hope this movie will be very good, but I wouldn't be surprised if it fails, although I have faith in them.

I've only seen about 15-30 min of it, but what I saw, I thought the actors did a great job of looking and acting like Lloyd and Harry, it was the script that sucked. :csad:

Dumb and Dumber is my favorite Jim Carrey movie. I can't wait for the sequel. This and Anchorman 2. :yay:

Matt, I'm going to have to disagree with you there...

It's worse than it sounds. :csad:

If they made another Mask, it would be a reboot. Which I would be fine with. I loved the first Mask, but if they made a reboot that followed the comics, pure insanity would occur on screen.

This and Anchorman 2. Man, this is great.

This, Achorman 2 and Beetlejuice2. Oh yes, please. :D

Hopefully Lloyd has kept his bowl-head haircut; wouldnt be the same without it.

When they first started adapting the comic they planned on having it be a new horro franchise ala Elm Street movies. But once Jim Carrey signed on they switched it over to a more comedic take.

I have all the original comics and would LOVE for a more faithful adaptation, even though I do love the Jim version.
