Dumb & Dumber 2-Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels Return

Funny posters. Reminds me of The Hangover 3 doing the Harry Potter posters.

This movie just doesn't look funny to me or worth seeing in theaters. I liked the first movie but this feels like a lazy cash grab sequel that's years too late.

We're less than 2 months away from the release and still no new trailer. I want to see more footage, damn it.

It's probably a good thing that they're saving all of the jokes for the film itself.

^ That's exactly what they're doing. The first trailer was disappointing to everyone simply because its only purpose was to say, "Hey, this movie is happening and it's coming out in November." It's just the awareness phase - not the hype phase yet. I personally think the Farrelly Brothers have NO CHOICE but to deliver an amazing movie here, or their careers are over FOREVER. With the amount of bombs they've had, combined with the possibility that they made a Dumb & Dumber sequel that didn't please the fans... they'll be ruined.

They may be saving all the jokes for the film, but what they chose to show instead simply doesn't look appealing. For me, the sequel is 20 years too late.

The context of that first trailer, the music, the editing, it didn't work. A lot of stuff need context for it to work. You take away some stuff from the first Dumb and Dumber and maybe it doesn't work. Is the way it works within the movie itself.
Some of the jokes are good though. Or some lines like "love what you've done with the place" when it looks exactly the same, is a good line. Or "I'm pregnant, please call me" "what do you think it means, Harry?". They feel like lines that could've been in the first film. I'm staying optimistic about this film (or maybe I reallllly want it to be good).

The funniest line I heard was in the international trailer.

Harry: Whoa, Lloyd. Check out the hotties at 12 o'clock.

Lloyd: That's three hours away. Why can't I check 'em out now?

:hehe:

The reaction to the trailer has actually been very positive. Anytime it played in a theatre, it got big laughs.

Saw this a couple months ago at a test screening. I implore everyone to keep their expectations down for this film.

Damn. No big laughs?
There's actually a couple big laughs.
The formula sadly becomes that of rushing from joke to joke. The plot is thin as expected, which can be summed up in a short sentence. First half is actually better than the second. It's a half hour too long, in which nothing happens.

Hopefully they made some adjustments based on the feedback at your test screening.

But thanks for the heads up, definitely keeping my expectations low.

Ever since this was announced I have been. Hopefully it isn't terrible, but a comedy sequel 20 years later is just a horrible idea, IMO.

Oh my god, guys. They're literally editing out their wrinkles.

they have been doing it for years.

in the last years they started removing age wrinkles on the face. i have been telling everyone on the forum that actors dont look good for their age. its almost impossible to find proof becaue making of videos also have altered footage.
