DVD Release date

I called it in the other thread that it would be March. But it is surprising it's not sooner. All I have to say is that since this will be the last we hear of the Punisher, LGF better go all out on the features, transfer and audio of this movie.

I agree Kable. I hope the blu ray/dvd will be loaded. Odds are though the studio will try to make as much as possible by releasing a fairly bare bones edition and then coming back a few months later and releasing a special edition hoping fans will doulble dip.

This movie will probably pretty successful in DVD sales.

I agree screams. I think War Zone will do well on dvd and blu ray sales.

It will do passably - but not well enough to be considered a success. It was a made for DVD movie to begin with and that's what it became.

Sweeeeet, I'll definitely be picking it up on DVD or Blu-Ray.

Cool! I really can't wait for this. It's going to be great watching it in Blu-Ray greatness.

I will be picking it up when it comes out. I did watch the movie on bootleg a couple times after seeing it in the theatre of course and I still think it's a pretty cool movie.

I agree. But I hope they don't do the double dip that they always does.I really just want them to release a unrated DVD with alot of special features. Now that would be great:)

Studio's need to realize that some of us do take into account special features when we purhcase movies. I would have bought it anyway, but the features on Tim Bradstreet and the history of the Punisher on the '04 disc made it a must buy.

oh god, i wish itll be available in the philippines because the film itself was never shown here =/

I wonder when the specs for the dvd and blu ray will be released. I'm curious to learn what the special features will contain.

definitely picking it up.

Hopefully It'll be loaded with special features.

I'd love to see the making of the gory parts

I hope it features a more indepth look at the history of the character. I would like to see people like Gerry Conway, Frank Miller, Len Wein(he created Jigsaw), Steve Grant, Mike Zeck, Jim Starlin, Bernie Wrightson, John Romita Jr, Chuck Dixon, Garth Ennis, Steve Dillon, and Tim Bradstreet give their thoughts on their take of the character.

according to Blu-Ray.com

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring 'Punisher: Warzone' to Blu-ray on March 17th, day-and-date with the DVD release. No technical specs have been announced at this time, though you can expect a 1080p AVC video encode along with a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack. No special features have been announced at this time, but a digital copy is expected.

possible cover art too

I'm gonna throw a guess and say that the second disc will be a digital copy.

I don't think they counted the digital copy as the 2nd disc.

I have to agree with S.Grundy that the second disc will be a standard def digital copy. It would be cool though if there were enough extras to need a second disc.
