Two New "The Spectacular Spider-Man" Animated DVD Releases Set For March 2009

well maybe if they dont get a 3rd season pickup maybe greg and company could convince marvel to let them continue the show in a series of dtv movies like how greg's original plan was 5 yrs 65 episodes and then dtv movies.

I think it's more a case of convincing Sony rather than Marvel so if the sales of the DVDs are very good there might be hope?
 
well thats nice hopefully that shows dxd that a 3rd season is needed.
 
Indeed. The show gets good ratings, the kids love the show, its franchise spreads (Party supplies, DVDs, action figures, etc.), leaving XD with the option of dis-continuing or the wise option of continuing it. Yes. Not to worry, folks the pieces will soon be in place. They're almost done with the 1st Season, they'll give the green-light to find out what happens next after the sudden 'death' of Norman Osborn and Gwen ending up with the dude who's starting to act like his father, boom! Season 3-5 and soon DTV, was it? Movies.
 
I'm not even worrying about this not getting a season 3. I'm very sure we'll be getting one.

Makes sense. Eight episodes on Disc One. Five episodes and specail features on Disc Two.
 
Question is: Will they include the more mature details of this show? (ie. the cop shooting at the Lizard or when Flash threw water balloons at Pete's private forcing him to cover it.)
 
hopefully and the cover art is only temporarly. even the page says it could change.
 
NINE episodes on disc 1? Weird... Most DVD releases of superhero cartoons opt to spread the episodes out more. For instance, the DCAU releases tend to have six or seven episodes on one disc and six or seven on the next. It's bizarre that this release has nine episodes on one disc and four on the next. Wouldn't it make more sense to have six on the first disc and seven on the second disc?

Yes, it would. But Kal-El still hasn't told us where he got that information, or if he's just guessing.
 
I think the cover art is fine, it will fit nicely with all my other black dvd's. shame its not widescreen though.
