If anyone out there is a DVD collector, or wants to discuss DVDs like the last one you bought or any you regret buying come on here a discuss it.
I started collecting DVDs two years ago and I have about 200 at the moment. The last DVD I bought was Big Fish, it was ok, not Burton's best.

:gg: HD-DVD+BLUERAY ARE EVIL, THEY MUST BE STOPPED!!!!:doom:

Is it wrong that I wish you die quickly and that your an organ donor, so those organs that your selfishly putting to ****ty use are finaly used for something good?

I've had a DVD player since 2001. Although I do occasionally watch movies on VHS too.

Congratulations! You have just proved the theory that there is no limit to human stupidity. Dullard, do yourself and everyone else a favor: disconnect your computer from the Internet.

I used to have tons upon tons of tapes, but I sold them all , I got quite a good bit at the time to.

I don't know everything about movies, far from it actually, nor am I the best poster here, but please do yourself a favor and go through my posts compare to yours, and please see how much more my posts, or actually ANYONE else here, contributes to this forum compare to yours. And then review the statement you just made...

Me too. And I have all of my old horror movie tapes too (although I have most of them on DVD too). I got a TON of them when the local video store went out of business in 2004, they were giving away their movies for .10 each.

A store near me are selling a tape, 1 Euro each. I still have my Star Wars tapes....there my babies....:p

I use Laserdisc too. I only have like 10 movies though.

Have about 500 DVD's, HD-DVD's and Blu-Ray movies.

this is dvd talk, not rating, silly.

But there's plenty of DVD talk in that thread already. It's just not for ratings sake. But whatever. I don't know why I bother. I'm bored.

I like to buy blue rays but i stick with standard dvd for the television series.

Got my first dvd player back in 2000. Man, it was like 300 bucks back then. Love collecting dvds, before I traded most of them in, I had about 529 dvds. Been collecting all these years. The first movie I bought was...oddly enough, Frequency, followed shortly by the Patriot, and MI:2.

Now, my collection is down to only about 160 or so and climbing back up. Newest edition is going to be (as of Tuesday) IJ:TOCS.

I just wanted to talk about one of my first DVD buys as a kid, which was 'X-Men 1.5'. This was one of my favourite DVDs, and still stands for me today. I enjoyed the movie, and the extras they added into it this time for its re-release were awesome. Honestly, this is my favourite comic-book movie DVD of all-time, and I suggest fans of the movie should definitly pick this one up, even if they have the regular-edition DVD.

I just got the Zodiac Director's Cut in the mail yesterday. Anybody else love the special features?

Ugh... who know some good racks for the DVDs because adding another cardboard box to hold my collection is horribly annoying.

I like to hold all of my DVDs in cardboard boxes labeled A-Z/#, with the end labels facing upwards, so when I open the box, easy to find. And if they don't have end-labels(I've seen some that don't, believe it or not), they immediately go in the garbage can, I don't care if it's a "Best Movie Ever" candidate.

Yeah, I liked the cardboard boxes for the first few months... but suddenly four boxes turned into four, four into five, and so on... I think that well it is easy to go through them, I'd rather have a rack so I can see them all and it may make me watch a couple of dvds that slip into hiding in those boxes.

Yeah, having a nice big rack would be nice... ahh, $#!%. That sounded so goddamn wrong:o
