Anyways, back on the topic, I think this movie will be entertaining. I wouldn't mind a break from the super serious, everything's gotta be dark and gritty wave currently crashing over Hollywood.

I don't mind them but not every single movie. And this isn't going goofy but it isn't taking itself super seriously either. It looks like an action movie set in ancient greece with Hercules starring the Rock.

If I was looking for a more serious interpetation, this wouldn't be it.

I agree.

But I think Hollywood will return to lighter stuff in the near future. The dark and shi...gritty stuff will get boring after a while.

I think it's already gotten boring. I loved Winter Soldier, it's the perfect combination of dark without taking itself too seriously and it has moments of humor and lighter scenes to make sure the audience isn't speaking like Christian Bale's Batman when they leave the theater.

FBI Agent Monica Fuentes gives Hercules a file concerning the hijack of a military convoy in Berlin. Herc flips through the file and stops upon a photo of Letty Ortiz.

FYI the clip is scene from the comics, although changed obviously. The leader speaking to Hercules is Rhesus with whom Herc has been charged to take down by training the Thracian Army.
