E3 2009

Let´s start by saying that i believe that this E3 will be very good, press conferences wise.

Nintendo will do the exact opposite of what they did last E3 and make a conference aimed for the hardcore gamer.
Pikmin 3 is the only rumor i read about Nintendo, but there can be a Mario or Zelda too. There can also be a ressurection, in the likes of Starfox or Kid Icarus.

I have little idea about what Sony can bring, besides the rumors of the PSP2 and the motion control.
As for games, they have a lot to cover, from God of War III to Heavy Rain and MAG, so, i can´t really see any new Ip being announced, unless is Twisted Metal (which there is 80% chance in my book).

Microsoft is the one i expect the most, not because i´m a "fanboy and pray to the God Bill Gates every night", but because i think that 90% will be new stuff or things that we know, but haven´t seen s**t for a very loooooooong time (Alan Wake and Splinter Cell come to mind).
And Microsoft needs it, and they already said they will have a great E3 (of course all 3 would say that).

Yea i think MS needs to have the better presser as there is absolutely nothing coming out for that system that im excited for. Sony has Among Thieves, and imo, MS has nothing that can equal that game, altho the one thing im more excited for than anything else is Ghostbusters, so really it doesnt matter what MS or Sony does, nothing is topping my excitement for that.

I don´t know about that, because, for all we know, MS can very well have a game that puts Among Thieves to shame, no matter how good that game is.
The point is, because MS will be all about new stuff, we don´t know what they have in store.
But, i do agree that Uncharted 2 does looks great, will be great and i´m a big fan of Naughty Dog.

The next episode of GameTrailers TV will be about Heavy Rain, so maybe the game will also be at E3.

Well thats just me personally. I really enjoy those 3rd person action adventure games and they are just so rare, imo. Im eagerly looking forward to Alan Wake, but so little is known about that game, which is why i dont mention it. From what some have said tho, that game could be unlike anything ever seen in games before.

If you remember from way back of page 1 Capcom said there would be two secret games at E3 from this year. This may possibly be one of them

Much requested crossover fighter Tatsunoko vs Capcom is coming to the U.S., according to a NeoGaf poster and magazine scan sent to Kotaku. A scan from reader Andrew shows what is supposed to be an image from inside Nintendo Power magazine for an article entitled When Heroes Collide. A paragraph in the top right corner of the article reads:

They said it couldn't happen, but it is! Fighting extravaganza Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to North America.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is a fighting title already released in Japan that features a collection of characters from Capcom games and another group from Japanese animation studio Tatsunoku Production.
Tatsunoko may best be know, by me, for their work on G-Force. (I used to watch it as a kid in Thailand.)
Could this be one of Capcom's two secret games for E3? We've reached out to the company for comment and will update if they respond.

Since that Nintendo Power magazine hasn't been out yet it's being treated as a rumor, but it is most definitely a legit scan. Possibly we'll be seeing it from Capcom at E3, with maybe so extras for the NA/EU shores. Online, maybe?

If it went to the 360, or even the PS3 (due to the fact that i´ll probably get on in September), i would hyped for Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
But, being only for the Wii.....meh...unless i get my hands on one too, something i don´t plan to.

I dont think its such a wise move putting it on the Wii. Fighting games dont sell like they used to. Best to put it on as many platforms as possible to maximize sales. I dont feel the audience for this game can be found on the Wii and Capcom will most likley be disappointed with what they get if they keep it only on there

Most likely scenario at this point I believe. Unless Kojima and co. is throwing a serious curve. Or it could be Snatcher

One game I'd LOVE to see more from in this E3 is I Am Alive. So far, we've only had that great trailer, and nothing more. The concept is pretty interesting, and I'd like to see how the first person perspective works for this.

Completely agree. I Am Alive looks like a really interesting game, but I've seen next to nothing about it.
