E3 2010

Zelda's basically confirmed. We HAVE to see Zelda Wii, they teased it last year.

BTW, IGN/YT's streaming things. Gonna watch the rest of the conferences on it, since the rest aren't on HD on TV. http://www.youtube.com/user/E3

That's actually not a bad price
Considering that what has been shown has already been done years ago with the EyeToy and Wii Remote, most of what they've shown can be done with the $40 PlayStation Eye, and they're trying to target the casual audience, that price is a rip-off.

See, the hardcore crowd forgets that the casual crowd is the majority in society. You get them on board playing video games, you win the war.

But you need them to keep playing games. The problem with the Wii is that the casual gamer has essentially stopped buying games and the hardcore crowd just ignores it since Nintendo ignored them.

But a casual gamer will just get a Wii for $50 more.

That is why Microsoft should focus on the casual going by reaction on various forums. We have to wait & see what Sony shows tomorrow on what they are aiming for. Kids are wanting Kinetic more then gamers

I actually haven't had a chance to watch any of the demo's currently at work and am posting via Mobile but I take it Kinect wasn't the game changer it was hyped up to be?

It is aimed at the casual & not the hard core. I think that is why most are not excited

Not at all. Everything that has been shown has either already been done or can be done with a firmware update with already existing technology.

Haha I had an eyetoy and those things were a waste of money, they couldn't do anything even close to what the Kinect has accomplished. You can't take anything that Gamestop says seriously just yet, thats just a price they put down for the sake of putting down just like when they put release dates down when one hasn't been annouced yet. I will say though that 150 is too much, I bet it'll be closer to 80-100.

MS didn't drop any megaton bombs this year. I was waiting for a new game that hasn't been announced or a former exclusive game going multiplat. They didn't have any of that. Add in all of the of Kinect casual games and the conference was a letdown to me.

The PS Eye Toy cant select, stop, fast forward or rewind movies. The PS Eye Toy cant pause live sports events through ESPN(something the PS doesnt have access to period). The PS eye cant select music to play through the dashboard. Now you said earlier PS could just update the eye toy to do all that(i slightly disagree as i dont think its that simple) but they havent so at this point, Kinect is better than eye toy in every way.

With that said tho, other than the media applications, Kinect didn't do anything new. Its all just garbage Wii titles. Those titles are stupid on the Wii, they'll be just as dumb on the 360.

As for the price. Too much by about 50 bux. The Kinect shouldn't cost more than 99 dollars.

Is anybody really set to drop a massive announcement this yr? Like have there been any rumors for either of the big 3? I figure MS would just be about Natal(now Kinect) showing off how they are the new Wii. I figure Sony will show off Move stating how they are the new Wii and then i assume Nintendo will show off the Wii saying how they are still the Wii.

If they want people to **** themselves then announce The Old Republic for Consoles. Even if it comes out a year later after PC gamers will flock to it
