Is anybody really set to drop a massive announcement this yr? Like have there been any rumors for either of the big 3? I figure MS would just be about Natal(now Kinect) showing off how they are the new Wii. I figure Sony will show off Move stating how they are the new Wii and then i assume Nintendo will show off the Wii saying how they are still the Wii.

We won't know until their conferences. I think Nin. and Sony will have a few surprises.

Right, i know we wont know anything, but i was asking if there are any major rumors circulating around Sony or Nintendo. Im not expecting much from Sony at all. I figure they'll do just what MS did and just show how casual they can be with their new waggle controller.


Altho, not a "megaton" announcement, the revealing of the 360 "slim" and the fact that it'll be available immediately was unexpected. I figured it would of been a holiday thing.

There are several rumors. New PSP, 2 new Ps3 sku.'s, Twisted Metal, Wii Hd, 3DS, and many more.

A megaton is the thing you don't hear about in rumors. It's a "WTF!", Sixth Sense type thing. MS had it last year, but nothing this year.

Edit: The Slim would have been huge, if it hadn't been leaked a couple of days ago. I am impressed with "shippng today" announcement though

The PS Eye Toy cant select, stop, fast forward or rewind movies. The PS Eye Toy cant pause live sports events through ESPN(something the PS doesnt have access to period). The PS eye cant select music to play through the dashboard. Now you said earlier PS could just update the eye toy to do all that(i slightly disagree as i dont think its that simple) but they havent so at this point, Kinect is better than eye toy in every way.

With that said tho, other than the media applications, Kinect didn't do anything new. Its all just garbage Wii titles. Those titles are stupid on the Wii, they'll be just as dumb on the 360.

As for the price. Too much by about 50 bux. The Kinect shouldn't cost more than 99 dollars.

I agree. Even though you can do all those multimedia stuff with a wave of your hand or voice command, it still doesn't worth $150. No one is that lazy to want to spend that much money just so they can circumvent the controller to browse menus and fast-forward movies. And the titles so far do seemed rather lame, and these are games that I won't have purchased even on the Wii, much less 360. Since Kinect doesn't even have a controller, I expect the games to be dumbed-down version of Wii games with prettier graphics. I still don't see anything particuarly appealing about Kinect. Is it revolutionary? Perhaps it's an improvement over PS2's EyeToy, but it still doesn't make it great.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit reboot YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!

I wish Spike was broadcasting all of the major E3 press conferences, not just Microsoft's. The picture quality was way better and it didn't suck up all my bandwidth. Also, Microsoft's press conference was balls so it's a shame that's the only one we got to see on TV.

all these games were practically mentioned in passing, as if they were just trying to get to the 'Kinect' portion of the conference. the only game they devoted any quality time to was Gears of War 3, which really doesn't look much more impressive than Gears of War 2.

i wouldnt call it 'awesome'...it's ugly and it still doesn't address the issues the 360 if having with software storage. essentially, PS3 can play games that are 5 times larger than what can be played on the 360 and this new version of the console doesn't fix that problem.

90% of the gaming community is saying the same thing right now. MS TOTALLY dropped the ball this E3. they built their reputation on providing games for hardcore gamers (mostly shooter fans) and their hardcore games were barely given any attention this year. it's understandable why hardcore gamers (especially MS fans) would be upset.
