E3 2011: Sony Edition

Some of my predictions:

• NGP price ($250 and $350) and WW 2011 release date announced.
• Finally some details on Agent.
• Details on Kojima's new project. (Maybe Snatchers or ZOE sequel)
• NGP details concerning new Remote Play (cross play between PS3 and NGP)
• Kevin Butler appearance.
• Starhawk, Starhawk, Starhawk.

Price cut??

I could see a price cut announcement, but they may want to do that closer to the Holiday season. TGS or Gamescom maybe?

Ico Collection, The Last Guardian, and Uncharted 3 are the only things I need to hear about from Sony this year.

And we're off! The hype train starts here Wise-old Jamie's predictions:

- Uncharted 3 will end the show on a high-note just like God of War III did two years ago... less so Twisted Metal.
- We'll get one new PS3 announcement thanks to the NGP, if we're lucky it's two. Starhawk really does have to be one of them. Quantic Dream or Sony Santa Monica will take the other.
- NGP's details will place an emphasis on Uncharted, really driving in that this is a full game in the series in your pocket.
- Kojima's new project is Metal Gear related (duh). It's either an NGP/PS3 version of Peace Walker or a revamp of an earlier game in the series, nothing new.
- Last Guardian dated, hopefully for 2012.
- Their "hey, we like multiplatform games too!" game is Battlefield 3. CoD will get center stage on MS as usual this year, and EA displayed Dead Space 2 and MoH on the PS3 last year.

I think those are pretty realistic options. Sony have let me down a tiny bit in the past few E3s so I'm keeping low expectations, with more to come at Gamescom.

If I were to make some wild hopes:

- Kojima's NGP/PS3 project is the ultimate Metal Gear Collection. 1 - 4 in HD along with Peace Walker. All with trophies. All able to play on PS3 or NGP.
- Publishers commit big time to NGP. EA have Dead Space spin-off, SEGA have Valkyria Chronicles IV and Yakuza spin-off, Capcom have Resident Evil spin-off, and Activision's Call of Duty doesn't suck.
- 1st party NGP titles are Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance and LBP2 like we know, but MotorStorm, Sly Cooper 4 and Jak and Daxter are added.

I can't wait to find out more NGP deets.

Oh yeah forgot about The agent if they don't reveal anything about that game at this years e3 then I am really going to be worried I am assuming Sony will also announce a few games lined up for next year sly 4 and the agent are the only ones I can think of right now maybe quantic dreams next game and Santa Monica studios next game

I really hope there is a price cut and I really hope it happens before Uncharted 3 comes out. I want to buy a PS3 soon

I am 90% sure there will be a price cut this year. If they don't announce it at E3, then I think it will be announced after.

I am 100% sure it will be before that if it happens. It would probably be in August/September, but if you are getting it for U3, I would wait for the inevitable bundled system.

You know what would be really awesome? If Sony debuted a sequel to a PS3 game, say God of War, or MGS or something on stage, did an awesome walkthrough that stunned everyone and then was like "Oh yeah... that was on NGP by the way".

I think something like that is probably very likely. Except instead of thinking "Wow, this PS3 game sure looks awesome!", I'll probably be thinking, "Wow, this PS3 game looks a lot like a PS2 game!"

I think we'll probably see Metal Gear Solid Rising in action, since the PS3 is supposed to be the lead platform for it.

And I could have sworn that Kojima is supposed to be working on something Non-MGS related. No matter what it is, MGS or non-MGS related, it'll probably get announced at E3.

I think acknowledging their new security measures and any new features is all they need to say about it. Then they show all their upcoming kickass exclusive games and that's all anyone will be talking about/reporting on.
