Spike gave them a B....that is REALLY generous.

Ryse
Gears 3
Halo 4

That's about it for me. I dont care if theyre trying to push Kinect. But Gears and Halo really didn't get pushed that hard at all

I'm not big into the insider scoop on video games but I heard there's talk about GTA 5 being in this years E3, is that true?

It's a rumor, but generally speaking it's fairly unlikely. Rockstar tends to ride their own rails, so to speak. It's possible, though.

Not a fan of mass effect 3?

Hopefully they release the press releases soon, I want to know what you need to use the Live TV stuff.

The conference would've been much better if MS didn't scoop themselves on their own website and if Halo 4 was a suprise.

Pretty lackluster showing for core titles and the such. There was some interesting stuff for Kinect, but nothing I'm personally interested in. Definitely getting ME3, but that was a given. Gears 3 is a solid weekend rental. TR looked like it could be good. No interest in Halo. Guess that about covers it.

That's the rumor. And that it will be revealed to take place in modern day real world Los Angeles.

Interesting! thanks.
I hope it comes true, it's been long overdue for another GTA game.

So, Live has more partnerships, Minecraft's coming to the 360, and there's going to be another Halo trilogy. Also, Kinect is still awkward.

A fraction of this news was actually relevant to me.

I can't say I was disappointed with Microsoft's press conference since I wasn't expecting much, but the lack of third party games combined with the huge Kinect focus makes this press conference a failure in my eyes.

You left out one very important thing.

MS is releasing a biographical Kinect game about the Star Wars Kid!

I think that Microsoft deserved that grade. Their showing this year is so much better over last years, Microsoft introduced some cool features like YouTube, Bing, UFC, and Live TV, and they showed off some core and casual games for Kinect.

Kinect Star Wars, Disneyland Adventures, and overall lack of excitement kinda dragged down the conference, but Microsoft did what they needed to do.

Boo, the Gametrailers' demo of Bioshock is just a fly-through of the demo they will be showing off at E3. From what I've read, Infinite is supposed to look amazing.

I don't own Kinect and proudly don't plan on buying it, tbh. I like my game controller.

Heh. I was just thinking that if I were to grade it, I would give it a D, which I thought was a little generous.

Ehh....conference was okay, I guess. Too much Kinect (for ****'s sakes, Kudo...take the goddamned shades off. You're indoors, so that's a signla that it's time to take them off. Wasn't even brightly lit, either...).

Forza 4 looked nice, great use of Kanye. Gears 3. Halo 4. MW3 looked good too. And Tomb Raider was impressive.

Ghost Recon looked interesting from what I could catch glimpses of. I guess it was cool that I could build up guns with my voice and hands. I guess...

Microsoft doesn't deserve a high grade on anything. They managed to be slightly less cringeworthy than last year, until Tsunoda and the always well-received Kinect actors showed up.

The problem I have with Kinect, and the reason I still don't own one, is that the coolest things you can do with it are the dumb little side things like scanning in stuffed animals and telling it to give me X-men. I would love to mess around with that stuff for a few hours, but all the games for it look janky as hell.

The new features to Xbox Live was cool. But, I think the lack of focus on controller based games hurt.

Most, if not all, of the "B" they got from Kotaku's man on GT had to be because of Halo 4, Gears 3, MW2, and Tomb Raider.

That Fable thing just looked ****ing awkward.
