Another year, another FIFA, another 60 bucks I will be spending.

I do. A lot, actually.

Meh, you could still explore planets and stuff. It wasn't as much as the first game, but still. Plus, you still had that mixing pot of different worlds and species that felt distinct.

I don't see it, but to each their own.

What is this suppose to mean? We are talking about a game series that literally came up at the E3 press conference in the E3. And you are complaining.

No we're starting to argue about ME 2-3 and their Star Trekishness. And its still going on in fact. I didn't tell you not to talk about the teaser so I don't even know where that came from but now THIS is becoming another argument so I am just going to step away from it and leave it at that.

You honestly couldn't tell any of that from what they showed. It could be anywhere, anytime. Though I am pretty sure it wasn't Star Wars. They emphasized it being completely "new".

Not really. It's a pretty fresh reveal in a rather underwhelming press conference, so it's natural for discussion to be about it. These kind of threads tend to go in that direction. So, I wouldn't post in here if that's issue for you, honestly. Because it's bound to happen with other conferences that will pop up.

So many videogames still chase that, too. To my knowledge, the only ones to ever nail it has been Rockstar with GTA.

What different tract? We are discussion the nature of the Mass Effect series, which is something they mentioned. Considering what they said, it applies as we are wondering how "different" Mass Effect 4 will be.

You know, I'm sure they're catching heat (heh) for the direction of the new Battlefield. But, I'll say this...it's interesting to me. One could argue about the police state, militarization of cities police force, that the direction can work. And hearing about the tv show episode approach they'll go with for the single player (reminds me of Alan Wake) sounds like something that could be fun.

And Viceral is a good team.

EA was a bust. Well tonight we will definitely be seeing Uncharted 4, The Order, and possibly GOW4. So there is at least that.

Okay...so I thought EA's conference sucked.

Yes, I'm excited for Battlefront. Yes, I'm excited for Dragon Age. Yes, I'm excited for Mass Effect. And Mirror's Edge 2.

But...we saw nothing on those games. They could have devoted more time to Dragon Age, I think, to lean on the fact that they had nothing much else to show. Which, I think was the problem. They probably didn't want to cancel the conference, but it just seemed like they have most of their stuff still in the oven baking. So it was kind of like they had to do this conference despite the fact that they have very little to show. The fact that they showed so much prototype stuff (which is kind of a rarity on it's own).
