Okay then, my Microsoft Conference review:

Pro's:

- Anthem

- Xbox One X

- Crackdown 3

- Metro

- Terry Crews

Con's:

- Too... Many... Indies.

- XboneX price.. ehh...

- No "HOLY ****" moments

- No Halo or Gears

Overall a 7/10 conference, good but not great.

The One X is going to be $599 in Canada. Alright. Cool... cool cool cool cool cool cool...

At that price, I could buy a 1440p 144Hz monitor for my gaming PC.

Maybe, I'll put a pre-order down at some point, since it costs me nothing upfront. I'll decide if I actually want to keep it closer to release date. Right now I'm probably 75/25 in favour of not getting it.

Especially if they repeat their formula last E3 of more games and less talking.

So what are we getting from Bethesda tonight? I know the hot rumor is their new IP that is being described as "The Elder Scrolls in space." Any chance we actually see The Elder Scrolls? On one hand, I know Bethesda is pushing the Morrowind expansion for TESO and keeps saying Elder Scrolls VI is a long way off. On the other hand, its been nearly six years since Skyrim launched and it is in development. Gotta think that they might at least tease it soon.

If the X.B.O.X. was a hundred bucks cheaper, I would probably jump in day one. The press conference was definitely a success though. I fully intend to buy one in the future now, the price just needs to come down.

I don't plan on moving onto 4K anytime soon as 1080p is still great to me. I'm fine wih my VCR sized Xbox One and if I eventually upgrade, it'll likely just be the S.

If I ever do end up getting the X, it would be if Xbox 3 is still 5 - 10 years away and the X drops in price significantly in the next few years

That's a bummer. The New Order just didn't do it for me, nor did Doom for that matter. I get what Bethesda is trying to do with Doom and Wolfenstein...but I dunno...I just have trouble getting excited for 30 year old revivals of franchises that are long past their heyday and while passable, are only just that...bringing nothing truly great to the table. And I suppose not every game has to be great. But I'd much rather see a studio like Bethesda putting all resources into TESVI than trying to inject life into something like Wolfenstein, no matter how many fond childhood memories I may have of the original.
