Compared to Resident Evil 7, Yakuza O, Gravity Rush 2, Nioh, For Honor, Halo Wars 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Zelda, Nier Automata, and Persona 5 all released in about a 2 month span.

unfortunately, from what I've been reading and from what little I could see from my ****** streaming video, I'd have to agree with you.

nothing they showed justifies getting the X this year.

There's nothing said or shown that makes it look like you NEED to buy this console. If you have a good gaming PC you can play all those games on Windows 10 and if you don't you can play them on the S, the PS4 Pro or on the vanilla Xbone/PS4. At $500 on top of the cost of a new TV if you don't have a 4K this seems like a pretty major luxury item.

And I'd argue that's what makes it a bad conference. When you're launching a new product you want people to think "I Must Have it"

I think they should've saved Gears 4 for this year, shouldve teased Halo...and whatever other major exclusives Microsoft has

The X would be great for someone who does not have any other gaming stuff and wants to get into this gen. If you don't have a PC/PS4/Xbone, but own a 4K TV the X seems like a smart purchase, but if you have all that above mentioned stuff then there's genuinely no reason to purchase the X. Doesn't the S do 4K? Is Microsoft really coming to market with two 4K consoles?

So far, only Assassin's Creed: Origins and Star Wars Battlefront II has me hyped. Everything else has been meh - interesting. Anthem has me near hyped though when yesterday it was just meh
