Oooooh, touchy!

Did he steal your prom date from you or something? lol

No, but he contributed to the destruction of something I've loved since childhood with that atrocious Transformers movie, and gets a big push as the next big thing Hollywood that as far as I'm concerned he hasn't done a damned thing to earn other than act precisely the same in his films as he does whenever he's interviewed.

Oh, so you're one of those.

Very well. Fight on, brave internet warrior!

The name "Disturbia" fits the movie pretty well, because I am deeply disturbed by Shia Lebeouf's performance. :yay:

Can you guys do any better than Shia?

by Stax

US, November 8, 2007 - Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton and Anthony Mackie have joined the cast of director D.J. Caruso's now-filming thriller Eagle Eye. Shia LaBeouf, Rosario Dawson and Michelle Monaghan also star in the DreamWorks project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The story revolves around a young man (LaBeouf) and a single mother (Monaghan) who are framed as terrorists and forced to become members of a cell with plans to carry out a political assassination."

The trade adds that "Thornton will play a patriotic hero who works with the government to do the right thing. Mackie will play a hot-shot soldier who helps save the day. Dawson plays a government agent."

The script was penned by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and rewritten by Hillary Seitz.

I think I've sinned several times just looking at those pictures, too cute. :csad:

I heard Michelle is supposed to be playing his mother?! That's nuts. I am looking foward to the film but I hope that ain't the truth.

That mistake in the press release has been corrected ages ago, Michelle plays a single mother who ends up on the run with Shia's character. :yay:

Nice set pics, I really look forward to this movie.

Michael Chiklis Joins Eagle Eye
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
January 8, 2008

Michael Chiklis has joined the cast of Eagle Eye, the D.J. Caruso-directed thriller for DreamWorks, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Chiklis ("The Shield," the "Fantastic Four" films) will play the U.S. secretary of defense in the story that revolves around a slacker (Shia LaBeouf) and a single mother (Michelle Monaghan) who form an unlikely partnership when they are framed as terrorists and forced to become members of a cell with plans to carry out a political assassination.

Along with LaBeouf and Monaghan, Chiklis joins Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Azizi and Anthony Mackie in the film, which has resumed production after being on hiatus for the holidays. The film is scheduled to wrap in February.

Hillary Seitz wrote the latest draft of the film, with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci executive producing through their DreamWorks-based company. Pat Crowley and Ed McDonnell also are producing.

Tidbit from Shia on the action in Eagle Eye

CS: Can you compare the scope of this film to "Indy 4" and "Transformers"?
LaBeouf: "Indiana Jones," the scope of it is insane. "Transformers" had a different kind of scope. This is a more realistic vibe than both of those films. The action is different. It's less grandiose and more offsetting real. To make it look that real, it's almost easier to go bigger. Indy has a campy... there's a humor to all of the action. It's a very different type of action. This is not slip on a banana peel, that type, this is a whole different deal. It's very real. It's candid reality.

Well its no denying it....Shia is now the new big Action Hero....I mean yeah sure it's hard to believe....but who would have thought Will Smith would have been the big time action star he is now.

I'm looking forward to this movie. I read in the script review that Shia's character is supposed to be 30? Shia doesn't look 30. He looks like his real age, 20-22. Maybe mid 20s at best.

Maybe nerds are truly taking over Hollywood?

He does have a Will Smith quality to him. I think he could have that kind of career.
