Early Reviews.

I can't believe this film has "fence sitters" who need to see a review from USA Today or the NYT to push them one way or the other. I mean really like those pompous twits and I consider fun and entertainment the same way. Not for this type film.
Maybe on a film such as "The Artist" we'll be more in synch but this film either already has it's fans or it doesn't.

If reviews did somehow turn out "fresh" the haters wouldn't believe it.
If the reviews turn out "fresh" the lovers already knew that.

I'm gonna see it no matter what when I read a review I like a full review cause sometimes critics hate things in films that I know I'll love.

There's a difference between it getting 8% and 38%. In one case, it may be lacking story but is a fun watch. Maybe it is cheesy, maybe it's TOO over the top for critics. However, there's another kind of "rotten" movie that is terribly made and has no redeeming features. This could be a fun B-flick that moderately bombs with the critics... or it could be a genuinely terrible movie. In the former it'd be rotten but somewhere between 20-40. In the latter, below 20.

Best Nic Cage movie is Con air imo, also love Snake Eyes and the Rock (which is probably the best film he's been in but its Sean Connery's movie).

Kickass was the only good movie that Nic Cage has done in a long while. I disagree with you guys about him being Tony Stark in Iron Man. Maybe he could have done it in the 90's but RDJ NAILS the character in every way. I don't think Cage would top him in that role. Anyway, the negative reviews for Ghost Rider 2 should not shock anyone. I might still go see this at a matinee next weekend (in 2D).

Bat Lieutenant says hi.

Nic Cage is a very good actor, who has hurt his rep by doing any movie that will pay him a salary.

I love the Rock. Does it even make Nic Cage's top ten? Raising Arizona, Adaptation, Wild at Heart, Peggy Sue Got Married, Bad Lieutenant, Leaving Las Vegas, Matchstick Men, etc.

How the heck can Face-Off not be on a best of list for Cage?

Maybe for you the RT matters but you can't apply it across the board as if it's universal.

The Devil Inside = RT score 5%, FIVE PERCENT
The Devil Inside = $53m domestic to date.

Any GR fan worth his salt couldn't care less if it's 8%, 38% or 58% they will be there opening weekend. That's how I see it.

You're right about that, because I'm going to see it Friday with no hesistation.

C. Robert Cargill (Carlyle from Spill.com) liked it.

Face Off was his best movie...

Although, and please don't rake me over the coals, he isn't that great of an actor IMO. In every role, I see the same guy playing. That worked well for Clint Eastwood and Arnold Schwarzenegger (also a bad actor but tons of fun) but not so much for Cage... He plays bad guys a lot better than the misunderstood droopy eyed good guy who slurs his words.

Bad reviews catch up to a film fast. The Devil Inside made 2/3 of its money in the first 3 days. Also, I'm not a Ghost Rider fan to the point I'll sit through a terrible movie just because of the main character. I already did that for Punisher, my fave comic character, and it isn't an experience I want to repeat.

I'm pretty sure this movie isn't go to be anywhere near as bad as Punisher: Warzone, you gotta admit it does look promising.

The reviews will almost certainly be rotten. It'll likely fall somewhere between 20-40%, if I had to guess! If it was fresh I'd be pleasantly surprised... surprised and amazed.

I agree, there's still zero review at Rotten Tomatoes.

And usually the lack of early movie reviews is a sign that a movie will suck.

^It definately is, apparently the reviews should start pooring tonight after the press screenings, i am not hopeful.

I'm going to watch a couple old Cage movies in preparation in case that is terrible. Hopefully Cage is funny enough to watch if everything else sucks.

I'm anxious to see Joblo's review. Most of the time their opinions match mine. I'm seeing it regardless, but I'm going in knowing that this isn't going to be a legit quality movie.

There are only SIX reviews so far on RT. I'm sure there will be some reviewers who like the film

One more hour and i get to see some bad*** GR scenes. Personally I don't even read what critics say before i go see a movie. I will judge myself because critics can be narrow-minded when it comes to certain movies. Hell i loved Crank and they hate it. As long as GR is a bad*** i could care less and there is no way it can be worse than the last film.

Ehhh you guys should just wait until the weekend is over to weigh in the score, it's just gonna keep yo yo-ing until there's enough reviews.
