I'm watching Helen Mirren on Jay Leno right now. Everytime I see guests like her and Morgan Freeman they always say that they are glad to have gotten success later in life. Honestly, I have nothing against success later in life. But, I would prefer to have success when I'm young. Why? Well, because my parents are immigrants. They left their country to provide great future for me. So, I want to have success while they are still alive.

What do you guys prefer?

i would say later.
but by later i mean like in my 30's, that way i could still enjoy it.
i think those child stars that make millions don't have the maturity to know what to properly do with it.
and i think those people who don't get famous or rich til they have one foot in the grave just got a raw deal.

The earlier the better.
Start young die young.

look at the youth of hollywood, who had early success.

most of em act vapid and idiotic. i'd much rather have later success. i think they appreciate it and know how to use it better

actually early sucess with a burnout in your late teens and twenties followed by a comeback in your late forties is always the way to go....

this way, you have the money to live your life in your twenties but no one gives a crap who you are so you are left to your own devices only to clear up when you are older and wiser and know how to handle the press and fame and sucess...

early. If you have money early it gives it more time to grow and you dont have ruff times early on or later(if the money grows that is).Beyond that, you usually need money earlyer on and its better that way.

When I said early success I didn't mean teen stars like Lindsay Lohan or something. I'm gonna be 20 this summer, so my teen years are pretty much over. I plan to graduate from college by ATLEAST my 21 or 22nd birthday. And, If I can get success in life by my late `20s I would consider that an EARLY success. Wouldn't you?! And, by late success I was talking about people like Morgan Freeman. He became successful when he was like 50-years-old.

Later. I don't want to be 80 and remember my last happy time was in my 20s. :o

Earlier usually means both, by Road Warrior’s definition, unless you’re a complete moron or very unlucky. So I’ll go with early.

Later.

But I wouldn't mind being successful early. Set an example.

Hawt stuff.

Allow God to change your definition of success, and the timing will be perfect.

I say early AND later success! :) I prefer to be successful my entire career!

i hope to just leave success for my kids if i ever have any. or a cool influential legacy. i hope i am borderline broke my entire life so i can keep working and stay focused on passions and what forth.

i know it sounds contradicting how i say i just want to leave my kids set up and want to be broke at the same time, but it would be cool to leave something for them to cash in on once i kick the bucket.

Helen Mirren is one of the hottest old ladies AROUND!

Still prefer Helen Mirren circa the 1970s.

Early success probably creates more options for you later in life, you could retire early. Take whatever you can get.

This is just like an episode of the Twilight Zone sell a year of your life for a 1000 dollars! I guess early success that way I can survive all the coke I do. .>(

early success- then id still have the faculties to enjoy it- and helen mirren is wonderful:woot:

I don't know. I mean what would I buy if I was rich that I can't now? More money?

I'd rather hit it later so I can ride out in a blaze of glory.

I think later. I'd rather take it slow and decide carefully on what I want to do than be one of the kids starting med having never been out of education and no sense of the real world. I took two years about between school and college, I wanna take another few between college and university, and possibly another few years between university and actually taking up whatever career I end up trained for.

I like to do most things slow.
