I read that Chris Eccleston was going to be apart of the show, which is just so flippin COOL!! BTW, were his powers confirmed, and is he only there as a guest star?

Nothing more was given. Him being casted is the only thing they've released. Who he'll play is still in the air.

No. His powers weren't revealed. It was only the announcement of him being apart of the series. And yes, he was confirmed to be a full time regular.
