Well, it's not like the Hulk is this new thing to him anymore. Now it's a matter of control, which seems the to be core theme. So to be in control he has to keep his cool, but it's still something he's worried about. After all, the difficulty of control is how long you can keep your cool.

Besides, it's a trailer, a teaser one at that. Trailers usually don't involve much dramatic or character revealing shots. That's the whole point of watching the movie. What's shown in the trailer doesn't limit what's shown in the movie.

The first Hulk movie didn't suck, it wasn't the best, but it didn't suck. I went back to check out the CGI that everyone seems to complain about and I just don't see what all the fuss is about, it looks great to me.

I watched the new trailer and I don't see where this new Hulk CGI is any better, it looks good as well. I think some people totally over exaggerate about how bad the first Hulk movie is.

You know, maybe i'm reading into this too much, but Norton doesn't seem to convey any sort of sadness, anguish, that's he's the Hulk. All his delivery's in the trailer were in a tone like "Yeah, i'm the Hulk". I got no sense of urgency. It's like he's trying to cure a cold, not the most destructive force on earth.

I got from the trailer too

I felt that Bana´s Banner, was kind of a emotionally crippled guy... very monotone, but in a good way like he was restrining himself all the time... and in the end he was really worried because he was starting to enjoy turuning into the hulk

The few lines from Norton in the chopper were really bad

I still don't have a problem with Ed Norton as Bruce but I don't think they're going for a sad Banner this time & I'm fine with that.

people think the CGI of this movie is better than the one from the first movie?
these guys are crazy...the CGI was perfect in the 2003 Hulk

The CGI was perfect? Hell no, it wasn't perfect, just like this CGI isn't perfect. There were a lot of scenes where the Hulk looked fake, such as when Bruce first transformed.

norton's acting is good... he conveys emotions of urgency and desperation throughout the trailer and i think he's doing a fine job with bruce banner.

bana's banner was definitely emo and that's what was wrong with it. i think he did a decent job in that role but everything about the whole film was over the top. the hulk was too big and bright, bana was an emo kid with an evil father and that's what ruined that movie ultimately...

this time around we're getting a real villain. i don't see how anybody could see this as a step down.

in the same way that there are a lot of scenes in which it looked perfect.
such as Hulk looking to those flowers in the desert...or the entire battle
or when he's looking to Betty and about to throw the rock.

I ditest the term "perfect cgi". There is no perfect cgi. What I've learned from art and painting specifically, is that it's alomst impossible to fool the human eye. If something isn't real, no matter how well it's created, people are going to know it's fake. With that said, the Hulk SFX looks pretty damn good, especially considering it's not 100% yet (i think there's still some texture work to be done). I can't say it's better than Hulk 2003 until I see it in theaters, but I like the new Hulk design alot more.

WOW the trailer looked amazing! im glad they got a new director for this film along with new actors.

Edward Norton Vs Tim Roth

****ing bad ass! can't wait for this movie

Probably the best casting for a superhero movie next to Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man and Christen Bale in Batman Begins.

We haven't gotten many perfect casting choices for superheroes in movies. My favorites are:

Christian Bale: Bruce Wayne/Batman
Christopher Reeve: Clark Kent/Superman
Tobey Maguire: Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Bill Bixby & Lou Ferrigno: Bruce/David Banner/The Hulk

I can't actually put Edward Norton or Robert Downey Jr. on the list until I watch their movies. I'm sure they'll be added to a lot of people's lists.

Oh come on people, no love for:

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Joker, I totally agree with you on FF. I really only watch them for Chiklis and Chris Evans. Great casting.

But again, no love for Jackman as Wolverine or Patrick Stewart as Xavier.

I'm loving Downey's acting so far.
he seems so natural in his role. the arrogant and confident Stark.
and just look to his expressions when he's talking to Pepper, to the soldiers and to the crowd. he's perfect in the paper.

I knew I forgot someone. Hugh Jacman is also a favorite of mine as is Patrick Stewart & Michael Keaton (his Batman was superb).

I hoped he was going to deliver some seriousness and sadness as Banner. For what I saw on the trailer, Norton merely threw his lines as wisecracks (the scene with Dr. Samson). I still hope it won't be like this on the actual movie.

I'm sure there will be some sadness but I still like the direction they are taking this Banner. I don't want him to be someone who's completely sad & always moping around like Erica Bana's Bruce Banner, I want him to make a few wisecracks here & there.

You are deffinatly right for Pat but Hugh for me didn't really seem like perfect casting in every since like in the looks department, and that's not to say he doesn't look like Wolvie it's just his height, and I know fanboy whinners, but it's true.

He could never be a hands down no brainer for me. I love him as L/W tho.:oldrazz:

He always did such a great job as Wolverine that I forgot about the whole height factor a long time ago.

I'm sure we'll see the tormented sole that is bruce banner but you know this is set 5 years after the accident, he's lived with it a while, likely gotten used to having this thing inside him, he isn't going to be a sad mess like he would be after the initial exposure. That said we will need to see how he hates having this thing inside him, how anxious he is to get it out of him but I'm 99.9% certain we will see this in Norton's acting.

My worries are about the moment they decided to treat the lines (that are not jokes per se) as one-liner jokes and the fact that, from the whole movie, they decided those moments to show.

I sure hope, like you, to see a more tormented Banner, and my first post in this thread is joyful about Norton being Banner. But it worries the hell out of me that the trailer decided to show me a guy making winks at the camera in joy for how lightened up he’s about his condition.

I’m not against some humour, it’s just about the sense of opportunity. I’ve seen too many decent or good scenes ruined by some stupid joke when it was uncalled.

That's what i got from the teaser too. Banner came off as feeling cool he has this condition, not saddened by it.
