I have had the pleasure to run into fire-ants, scorpions, and yellow jackets. And the worst of the 3 had to be the yellow jackets by far, i was stung 10 times by the little buggers just by walking near their nest. They take it real personal when you step on their turf...and yes i hate all types of hornets.

I was almost bit by a brown recluse spider that was in my sleeping bag

There are alot of deadly flesh eating cute little creatures out there . I'd say the best thing to do is to not venture alone and hopefully if something does happen you can make it in time to be treated.
