Given the Bill Cosby situation I wonder how long it is until these people will finally named and hopefully prosecuted?

The Telegraph also reported that Anne Henry — the co-founder of Bizparents, which provides support to child actors — says that her organization is currently supporting 100 abusers and that a "tsunami" of claims were on the way.

Elijah Wood has alleged there is a high-powered paedophile ring at work in Hollywood.

The 35-year-old actor - who is best known for his starring role in the 'Lord of the Rings' franchise - has claimed there is a conspiracy to cover-up historic cases of child abuse involving some of the movie industry's most influential names, likening the situation to the case of British entertainer Jimmy Savile, who was exposed as a paedophile after his death in 2011.

He said: "You all grew up with Savile, Jesus, it must have been devastating."

The deceased entertainer was a popular figure in the UK until it emerged he abused hundreds of victims over the course of his career, and used his fame and influence to cover his tracks.

Elijah told the Sunday Times newspaper: "Clearly something major was going on in Hollywood. It was all organised. There are a lot of vipers in this industry, people who only have their own interests in mind. There is darkness in the underbelly - if you can imagine it, it's probably happened."

Elijah added that abuse victims cannot speak loudly enough to have their voices heard amid the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

However, he remains grateful to his own mother for ensuring he was protected from sinister characters during his early years in the movie business.

He said: "She was far more concerned with raising me to be a good human than facilitating my career."

Elijah's claims echo those made previously by 'Stand by Me' star Corey Feldman, who argued in his autobiography 'Coreyography: A Memoir' that child abuse was rife in Hollywood.

The former child actor - who also starred in 'The Goonies' and 'Gremlins' - explained: "The No 1 problem in Hollywood was and is - and always will be - paedophilia.

There was a documentary called 'An Open Secret' that talked about this stuff as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason some of these former child stars went off the rails as adults is because some kind of abuse happened to them as kids which they don't feel able to talk about.

It's not gonna happen. This stuff has been known for years, and dates back to the inception of Hollywood. Judy Garland (of 'Wizard of Oz' fame) was continuously drugged and abused.

You can't name somebody without getting a defamation lawsuit on your ass. You would need concrete evidence and as we know, that's very hard to come by in sex abuse cases.

Before Xmen Days of Future Past was released someone tried to link Singer to child sex abuse. I cant remember all the details and Im not sure if it was ever proven or dismissed by the courts or if the accuser was paid off.

There is no way that one is true. I'm connected through a friend who's directly connected to the Maguire family. If something that dark and shady (Toby being a child abuser) was that well known as to appear on a site like that, I'm sure I would have heard something to that effect. While never knowing or meeting Toby, having some sense through this connection of his family it comes off as extremely unlikely. From what I can tell he's just a typical run-of-the-mill family man.

That, the lawyer being the same one who did the Elmo scandal and Singer's preference for twinks is what fueled those accusations and discussions on the Hype. It was ultimately false, but still. It was some teen who said that Singer among others seduced young male teens into having sex and forcing them into drugs for roles in their films.

Michael Jackson was found not guilty do I don't think it's fair to say that he did it. I have read about the case and I don't think he was guilty. Money hungry people wanted to get money from him. The people who accused him were shady and not believable at all.

OJ Simpson was also found not guilty. That doesn't mean anything. Maybe the Arvizo family was after his money. I think the ones who try to get money from the Estate now are even less believable. Michael is not here to defend himself so it's easy for them to lie. They didn't say anything before Michael died and they defended him. Even after his death but now suddenly they sue the Estate. They want money.
