I used to be of that opinion; in fact, once upon a time TSWLM was in my "holy trinity" of Bond movies along with FRWL and OHMSS, however a recent viewing has left me thinking that it (particularly the whole "Moore as Bond" thing) just can't hold a candle to the early classic films, and the latest one.

I'm not a big Moore guy either, but I love TSWLM because its one of the most entertaining Bond films. From a storytelling POV its nothing special. In fact, its ripping off YOLT. But, you can't deny you'll have a blast watching it.
