To be fair, I've always preferred The Living Daylights to License to Kill, if only because the bit with Bond countersniping to provide cover for a defector comes from Fleming. The story sort of went off on a tangent from that. LTK, while a better film, isn't a Bond film as much as an 80's action film.

That said, I think Timothy Dalton has been getting some unfair stick over the years. There's nothing wrong with his performance per se.

Anyways...

I have a suggestion:

I've taken part in some elimination games like this before, and IMHO they always start to drag at the end. If I may, I'd like to propose that as soon as we hit the top 10 (ie. after the next film is eliminated) everyone gets two votes per day (positive and negative.) The catch being, you can't use both votes for the same film. Thus. for

A
B +2
C -1
D -1

adding 2 points to B is not allowed, whereas

A +1
B -1
C +1
D -1

is fine (in effect voting for four films a day as opposed to two.)

As I say, I suggest this in the interest of keeping the game alive and not having it becomed bogged down in people playing +1,-1 for several days (which tends to happen in these games, at least from my experience.)

Well, we should probably get some more input from our fellow participants. Plus, we need to eliminate one more film before it kicks in (if we do it at all.)

I'm fine with it. Now we just have to get Goldeneye out of there...

So, let me get this straight. We vote for two films we like and two we dislike?

That's the idea, yeah, but only as soon as the next film is eliminated - ie. only once we have ten films lift. To make it absolutely clear, here's an example of what is not allowed:

1.Dr.No [3]
2.From Russia With Love [13] +2
3.Goldfinger [13] -1
4.Thunderball [4] -1

I can't give FRWL both my positive points. This works inversely as well - you can't give, say, Thunderball, two negative points.

In effect, you have to grade two films negatively, and two films positively.
