Embarassed to be on Superhero Hype?

Whether it's the connotations that this may bring or the fact that you personally feel uncomfortable when on it, how many people here are somewhat embarassed to admit to others (like freinds/coworkers) that you go onto a site called Superherohype?

But I'm not as embarrassed about that as the amount of time I sometimes spend.

I confess I am the only one out of my circle of guys that actually is into geeky stuff...they know about video games and comics, but it's like only a passing fancy...they're not all into current and past intricate details about it and what not. If all your friends are dorks like you, it shouldn't even be an issue.

As for the comics, I couldn't tell you who died or who got ressurrected other than Superman.

Yeah, I'm pretty much the same way. Most of my friends aren't into SHH stuff, except maybe superhero movies. They know I am though and accept it. The only time they really kind of look at me weird is if I start going off about how my character got screwed in Contest of Marvels and how they so should have beaten random character A. Then they kind of look at me, call me a loser, then pass me a beer.

I started writing that I wasn't embarassed, but that I don't tell my friends. I then realized the only reason I wouldn't tell them is out of embarassment. It's not that I am ashamed to be into movies, superheroes, sci-fi, whatever, but rather that people generally assume it's to an extreme. One reason I love my girlfriend is that she doesn't pass judgement. She does, however, keep me balanced so I don't obsess like a lot of guys on here.
