The Dark Knight Emilio Salituro rumored to be in The Dark Knight

One for understanding the situation. I actually felt a little bad when I returned to my computer and saw what a mess it stirred.
And TWO, for posting more pictures of the guy, after the first picture you posted I was really scared that the old guy with the blue jacket was Salituro. He just looks way too happy to be holding that Hot Dog!!

I didn't see anything about him being on Carlito's Way. I understand that imdb is not always accurate, but if he was on it, does anybody know what he played.

Anyway I was just thinking that if he's known on the Sopranos then he might be playing a gangster on Dark Knight (hence them adding the Maroni character) but I could also see him playing Seargent Bullock.

I have to squash this rumor before it goes anywhere that could be harmful to someones carreer.
Emilio Salituro has not, i repeat NOT been aproached by anybody to be in the new Dark Knight Film. I know this for a fact because I'm actually him!!

I am an actor who works in Canada & Europe but have never been approached by anybody to be in the film. (I was submitted for a Fantastic 4 audition but they decided to go another way with it) To be honest with you I am a bit angry that my name came up with this rumour in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I would love the opportunity to do it (being a comic book fan since I was able to read), but a rumour like this could do more harm than good to an actors career, especially if it's not true. Also I believe the fans of this website want to know the facts and this is definetely not one.

I hope i didn't offend the writer of this post or anybody else, I will just chalk it up as a misunderstanding.

And I will be very much looking forward to this Movie, but I will be sitting in the audience like many of you on opening night.
(Who knows, maybe I'll bug my agent to try and get me an audition!)

A Canadian Actor, Emilio Salituro has been rumored to be cast in a small role in the Batman Sequel. We are unsure if he is playing the role of Salvatore Maroni or one of the Joker's henchmen. He is mostly known for is Italian mafia roles but is still relatively an unknown with a strong resume in Theater.

If Maroni is in TDK which I hope it better not be a small role...I mean come on he's The Boss.

p.s. Tony Danza isnt the Boss anymore!

If that's really you Emilio, I am sorry, i might have posted wrong information, but i heard it from somebody who said they knew you in Canada. Well, if it makes you feel any better I hope you at least get an audition for something since you were so upright and honest about it.
